Company Overview

We are a growing professional services firm seeking an experienced Tax & Accounting Manager to support and strengthen our tax and accounting practice. This role is intended as a succession position, with a clear pathway to Head of Tax for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a portfolio of corporate tax and accounting clients.

* Review and prepare corporate tax computations, tax returns, GST filings, and withholding tax matters.

* Advise clients on Singapore tax compliance and planning matters.

* Liaise with IRAS and support tax audits, investigations, and queries.

* Manage a small portfolio of bookkeeping and accounting clients.

* Review management accounts, financial statements, and year-end schedules.

* Review and oversee XBRL financial statement preparation and filing requirements.

* Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).

* Lead and mentor junior tax and accounting team members.

* Work closely with advisory and management teams to deliver integrated solutions to clients.

* Support practice development, process improvements, and client relationship management.

Requirements

* Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Taxation, or related discipline.

* Minimum 4–7 years of relevant experience in a Singapore accounting or tax practice.

* Strong knowledge of Singapore corporate tax, GST, withholding tax, and tax compliance requirements.

* Solid accounting and financial reporting knowledge.

* Hands-on experience managing bookkeeping and accounting engagements.

* Experience in preparing or reviewing XBRL filings and financial statements.

* Good understanding of SFRS and regulatory compliance requirements.

* Ability to manage client relationships independently and provide practical business solutions.

* Strong leadership potential with ambition to progress into a Head of Tax role.

Preferred Profile

* Accredited Tax Practitioner (ATP) qualification is advantageous.

* Experience managing SME and owner-managed business clients.

* Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.

* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

* Commercially minded, hands-on, and able to operate effectively in a growing professional services environment.

Job description

• Assign with and manage/service a diversified portfolio of clients providing statutory auditing services and to co-lead/lead the engagements.
• Involved in budgeting process to prepare forecasts billings and collections on a regular basis.
• Perform significant risks assessment and audit procedures according to an audit plan.
• Assess audit evidence to derive at conclusions in response to audit objectives.
• Analyse matters arising from audit with Audit Leader/Partner.
• Ensure proper audit documentation and file quality.
• Responsible for audit engagements’ quality, delivery, and budget.
• Provide professional development trainings and manage the team performance.
• Maintain client relationship and development a long-term partnership.

Job requirement

• Have at least a Degree in Accountancy/Accounting/Finance or equivalent
• Have at least 4 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, relevant statutory rules and good understanding in the regulatory compliance and procedures.
• Have a positive attitude, great communication skills, an analytical mind, problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, ability to work independently as well as an effectively team player.

Job Description:

• Manage and oversee the accounting activities, prepare the monthly and quarterly financial reports, year-end closing and preparation of year-end audit, GST filing, tax returns and annual filing in accordance with local accounting standards and tax requirements, corporate policies, listing rules, and statutory deadlines.

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements & GST submission.

• Manage and prepare annual budgets, forecasts, monitoring expenditure against budgets and basic financial analysis to support business decisions.

• Work closely with the consolidation team on the quarterly group consolidation.

• Manage liquidity and cash flow of the Group. Assist in all banking related matters, liaise with bankers and work closely with the Group treasury team in Hong Kong.

• Liaise with company secretary for all local statutory requirements.

• Assist with accounting system integration.

• Any ad-hoc projects and assignments assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of working experience in commercial sector, accounting and audit firm as well as finance experience in manufacturing operations would be an advantage.

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or other related disciplines.

• Proficient in speaking and writing in English and chinese.

• Proficient knowledge in SAP and Sage (Accpac) accounting system for company level.

• Hands-on experience in financial accounting, tax and treasury management.

• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.

• Excellent communication, presentation, writing and interpersonal skill.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a keen eye for details.

• Responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently.

• A team player and able to meet tight deadlines.

• Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
