The School of Fine Art (SFA) seeks a versatile and forward-thinking Senior Lecturer / Programme Lead to oversee the management and pedagogical direction of the Diploma in Fine Art. This appointment is a critical hire to advance the School’s positioning within the evolving landscape of contemporary art practices.

The Programme Leader must possess extensive technical and theoretical knowledge across a broad spectrum of art mediums, ranging from drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture to mediums such as sound art and performance art. A key expectation is the ability to bridge contemporary art practices with AI informed creative practices, ensuring the curriculum remains at the forefront of an evolving art ecosystem. This position requires a proactive leader who can define directions for the programme, mobilise resources, and deliver outcomes that contribute to the School’s growth and reputation.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Programme Management & Leadership

• Provide executive oversight and strategic direction for the Diploma in Fine Art, ensuring rigorous delivery and academic excellence.
• Perform administrative duties related to the daily programme management of the diploma programme.
• Provide empathetic pastoral care and academic mentorship to students to support to ensure learner well-being and academic persistence.

2. Teaching & Curriculum Excellence

• Undertake 14 – 18 contact hours of teaching per week, providing expert instruction across various studio disciplines and emerging media.
• Lead the design and implementation of curriculum that integrates knowledge of AI literacy, ethics and AI tools/platforms into fine art modules.
• Govern assessment frameworks to ensure alignment with institutional quality assurance and higher education regulatory standards.
• Lead curriculum enhancement to ensure relevance to evolving art ecosystems, incorporating AI tools and workflows where appropriate.

3. Contemporary Art Research & Practice

• Engage in high-impact practice-based research, focusing on AI in creative practice.
• Drive high-impact creative outputs including exhibitions, screenings, and public showcases that elevate the School’s research culture and regional standing.
• Translate active studio research into innovative pedagogical frameworks into effective pedagogical frameworks.

4. Industry Engagement & Global Visibility

• Establish and sustain meaningful academic and industry partnerships within the contemporary art sector.
• Initiate and support strategic activities such as exhibitions, artist talks, and public showcases that highlight innovative student work.
• Position the programme within relevant regional networks to enhance institutional visibility and engagement.

Requirements

• Education: Minimally a Master’s degree in Fine Art or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of extensive academic and/or industry experience, including established track records in teaching and academic management.
• Technical Expertise: Proficient in AI applications and platforms in creative practice alongside traditional art mediums and forms.
• Communication Skills: Excellent command of written and spoken English, a good command of a second language, and strong presentation skills.
• Adaptability: Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and meet strategic deadlines.

Role Objective (Why this role exists)

We are clearing a multi-year audit backlog across a growing group of companies.

This role is not about theory, policy writing, or long meetings. It is about getting accounts audit-ready, closing open audit queries, and pushing audits to completion.

Success in this role means:

• Outstanding audits materially reduced or fully cleared
• Clean, complete audit schedules delivered on time
• Auditors receiving what they need, when they need it

Key Responsibilities

1. Audit Backlog Execution

• Take ownership of assigned financial years/entities and drive them from “incomplete” to “audit-ready”
• Prepare and reconcile audit schedules (TB, GL, AR/AP, fixed assets, accruals, provisions, intercompany, bank reconciliations)
• Identify gaps in documentation and proactively source, recreate, or reconstruct support where needed

2. Audit Query Management

• Act as the single point of contact for audit queries for assigned entities
• Track, respond to, and close audit queries efficiently
• Escalate only true judgment issues; resolve routine queries independently

3. Data Cleanup & Reconciliation

• Perform deep-dive reconciliations where historical records are messy or incomplete
• Clean up prior-year balances, mis-postings, unsupported balances, and aged reconciling items
• Clearly document assumptions, judgments, and fixes for audit trail purposes

4. Coordination & Discipline

• Work closely with the CFO and finance team to prioritise which audits to clear first
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to chase missing invoices, contracts, bank statements, and confirmations
• Maintain a simple but rigorous tracker of status, blockers, and next actions

5. Audit Readiness for Future

• Document recurring issues encountered and propose practical fixes to prevent future backlog
• Help standardise audit schedules and working papers for reuse across entities

Required Skillset & Experience

MUST-HAVE

• 3-7 years of hands-on accounting or audit experience
• Prior experience in external audit, audit support, or financial reporting
• Strong working knowledge of:

o  Balance sheet reconciliations
o  Audit schedules & working papers
o  GL systems and Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation models)

• Proven ability to work with imperfect data and still reach defensible conclusions
• Comfortable working under time pressure with clear delivery deadlines
• Proficiency in SQL Accounting, XERO, SPC Tax Comp, and other widely used accounting and tax software.

Strong Advantage

• Experience clearing audit backlogs or historical accounts
• Exposure to group structures, intercompany balances, or multi-entity audits
• Familiarity with SMEs or fast-growing companies where processes are evolving
• Prior interaction with Big 4 or mid-tier auditors

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key client accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and driving the success of various events and projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for the events industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities aligned to Pico’s broad service capabilities in events, exhibitions, retail, experiential marketing, content, and technology.
• Lead pitches and proposal development. Includes working with the relevant team and producers to pull together the required Specialist Services to develop the proposal.
• Competent in leading client’s strategies and to identify client’s needs and to create strategies to meet those needs.
• Grow the business both locally and regionally through a strategic account management approach and look to continuously improve the planning and execution of activities planned by our clients.
• Key responsibility is to establish and maintain relationships with identified clients, both new and existing. Hosting of regular POV meetings with the client to share insights and extend the value creation will be expected of you.
• Forge relationships with new clients and strengthen those with existing clients through the implementation of communication plans, thus creating strong visibility to the strategic support that is provided.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management or client engagement in the events management, Advertising, creative industry.
• Proven track record of managing and delivering successful events.
