Get to Know the Role

Reporting to the Head of Loyalty & PMTO, this leadership role sits at the intersection of strategy, planning, and project execution. You must master depth and breadth, bringing business and deep technical expertise to connect the dots between decisions, initiatives, and priorities across multiple teams while engaging on important topics. You will be both a Strategist and a Technologist:

• Strategist (The Compass): You will define our problem-solving focus, identifying problems worth solving and anticipating opportunities and developments well ahead of the curve.
• Technologist (The Architect): You will design the programs that unlock the full potential of AI and Agentic workflows.

This onsite role requires you to work onsite in Grab's Petaling Jaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Define and Anchor Problems: Deliberately define 'What' the problem is by ensuring every problem has a clear hypothesis anchored on data and insights, anticipating future developments ahead of the curve.
• Drive Prioritization: Determine 'Which' problems to prioritize, ensuring we can identify top priorities at any given time. You will assign teams to problems, not topics, ensuring you drive our focus always toward the global optima.
• Establish Leadership & Integration: Determine 'Who' will lead each problem. You will build deep trust, partnership, and thought leadership across multiple teams, helping cross-functional partners make sense of wider problems, opportunities, context, and strategy.
• Team Leadership & Organisational Design: Oversee all transformation projects by designing strong organization structures, rhythms, and ways of working. You will shape involvement from multiple functions/teams based on current problem statements rather than static topic coverage.
• Coaching & Culture: You will earn a wide reputation as a trusted coach, mentor, and enabler to other people managers, regardless of their reporting line.

We are seeking a passionate Retail Assistant Store Manager who will be starting in this new division in PRISM+ Malaysia. Being a high growth electronics company, we are looking for a candidate who accelerate growth in our retail segment while providing insights and expertise on how to growth our retail business.

This driven and ambitious individual will be overseeing and maximizing sales of the company through the retail sales channel at Aeon Bukit Tinggi. Responsibilities of a Assistant Retail Store Manager but are not limited to

• Manage, count, verify, and reconcile daily cash register sales
• Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner, while providing quality customer service; answer questions about products and recommend them accordingly
• Perform opening and closing procedures effectively according to store policies and procedures

• Process and replenish merchandise and ensured stock availability
• Co-Lead retail team to maintain visual merchandising and cleanliness standards of the store
• Create a positive work environment by motivating and encouraging the team to foster good relationships with one another
• Recruit and hire new store employees
• Responsible for training and onboarding new employees
• Create and manage store schedules 
• Set, monitor and achieve/exceed retail sales targets to drive improvement in company ranking
• Provides timely sales reports and analysis, making recommendations and flagging risks regarding anticipated shortfalls.
• Working close with company’s management, plan and implement suitable incentives and push out plans to boost sales

• Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in the retail industry

• Well versed in retail store processes and systems, proficient in Excel/ PowerPoint
• Prior experience in malls landlord relations
• Data-driven with ability to analyse data for stocks forecasting
• Strong Communication (English/Chinese/Malay) and people skills
• Passionate in engaging customers and providing excellent service

• You will lead your team in SFM & Bistro by example and spend 80% of your time on the floor listening, acting, helping and supporting customers and co-workers.
• You ensure the daily operational routines and actions set out by my manager for the area are implemented.
• You will also ensure that the IKEA Quality and Food Safety Policies and routines are followed.

Strategic & Governance Leadership

• Define and deploy the regional Quality & Food Safety (QFS) strategy, governance framework, and annual operating plan in alignment with global QFS standards.
• Lead regional QFS performance governance, KPI management, and harmonization of quality systems and practices across all sites.
• Ensure effective implementation and compliance of QMS/FSMS and relevant certifications across all SSEA operations, in line with global policies, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Digital Quality & Modernization

• Lead the regional rollout of digital QMS/FSMS solutions, including LIMS, SPC, real-time monitoring tools, and digital dashboards.
• Oversee data integrity, analytics capability, and digital maturity across sites, OEMs, and tollers.
• Drive adoption of innovative QFS technologies and global best practices to enhance efficiency and decision-making.

Risk, Crisis & Regulatory Leadership

• Govern the regional crisis and product recall management framework, ensuring preparedness, cross-functional coordination, and timely escalation.
• Monitor regulatory developments, assess business impact, and ensure proactive compliance actions.
• Act as the regional representative to regulatory authorities, including participation in inspections and external engagements.

OEM, Toller & Supplier Governance

• Define and oversee the regional framework for OEM and toller QFS governance, including risk assessment, certification oversight, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Lead the annual OEM/toller audit program, including escalation management and corrective action governance.
• Strengthen supplier QFS performance in close collaboration with Procurement and Operations teams.

Regional Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Lead regional QFS audits across factories, warehouses, OEMs, and tollers, ensuring robust follow-up and systemic improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce complaints, incidents, and non-conformities through strong root-cause analysis and preventive systems.
• Build a strong quality culture and customer-centric mindset across the region.
• Lead regional laboratory management and validation programs, ensuring reliable test data, efficient lab operations, and full SHE compliance.
• Manage the regional QFS budget, operating expenses, and CAPEX initiatives, including business case development and value realization.
• Lead QFS design for new projects and actively support R&D initiatives from a prevention and risk management perspective.

Leadership & People Development

• Build regional capability through coaching, structured training, and capability uplift programs for site QFS leaders and teams.
• Lead talent development, succession planning, and competency frameworks within the regional QFS function.
