Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BQ) for construction and development projects.
• Source and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Draft and review tender documents, contracts, and project timelines to ensure all aspects are covered.
• Visit project sites regularly to check progress, verify completed work, and assist with claims and valuations.
• Handle interim valuations, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts to keep projects on track.
• Monitor project costs and ensure everything stays within the approved budget.
• Work closely with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to resolve any issues related to cost or contracts.
• Offer cost-saving suggestions and value engineering ideas to improve efficiency and reduce project costs.
• Keep accurate records of all cost-related documentation and ensure everything is organized.
• Assist with post-project evaluations to help improve future planning and cost management processes.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in QS work
• Good knowledge of construction materials, contracts, and site operations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and QS software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX is a plus).
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
• Willing to travel for site visits and meetings when required.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be at the heart of our projects, working closely with experienced professionals. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in project costing, feasibility studies, and preparing cash flows.
• Preparing project budgets and supporting various related tasks.
• Using the latest QS software to prepare bills of quantities for tenders.
• Helping with post-contract duties to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Daily reporting to HQ including travelling to HQ biweekly/monthly or as requested.

What We’re Looking For:

• A Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Building or a related field.
• 2 - 5 years with consultant experienced or fresh graduates' candidates are welcome to apply.
• A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• To be based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
• Malaysian citizens only.
