Job Purpose

To ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts and provide end‑to‑end support for internal and external audits by maintaining reliable financial records, coordinating with auditors, and ensuring timely closure of audit requirements in compliance with applicable laws and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

A. Maintenance of Books of Accounts

• Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts, including general ledger and sub‑ledgers
• Record day‑to‑day accounting transactions such as receipts, payments, journal entries, and accruals
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records
• Perform regular bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations
• Ensure proper classification of expenses, income, assets, and liabilities
• Prepare trial balances and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
• Maintain fixed asset register and calculate depreciation
• Ensure proper documentation, filing, and record retention
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal controls

B. Audit Support & Coordination

• Act as a key liaison between management and internal/statutory auditors
• Prepare and provide audit schedules, financial statements, and supporting documents
• Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits (as applicable)
• Respond to audit queries and provide timely explanations and documentation
• Track audit observations and support closure of audit findings
• Assist in implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions
• Maintain audit working files and audit correspondence records
• Support management in audit planning and compliance reviews

The Data Governance Consultant will leverage Microsoft Purview’s Unified Catalog, Data Map, and Data Quality capabilities to ensure enterprise data assets are high-quality, compliant, and easily discoverable across multi-cloud and on‑premises environments. This role combines deep technical expertise in Purview with strong data analysis skills to assess, monitor, and continuously improve data ecosystems—enabling informed business decisions while mitigating privacy, security, and compliance risks.

Key Responsibilities

Implement Data Governance Frameworks

• Design and deploy Microsoft Purview-based governance solutions, including automated scanning, classification, and lineage tracking.
• Catalog and govern structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data assets across diverse data platforms.

Manage Data Quality Initiatives

• Define, configure, and maintain data quality rules within Purview’s Unified Catalog using no-code/low-code capabilities.
• Execute recurring data quality scans to generate quality scores and identify issues such as inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and missing data.

Monitor and Analyse Data Health

• Utilise Purview dashboards and insights to assess data quality metrics, conduct root cause analysis, and track performance trends.
• Collaborate with data owners and stewards to remediate issues and improve overall data reliability and trustworthiness.

Support Compliance and Risk Management

• Implement sensitivity labels, access controls, and governance policies within Purview.
• Ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and internal data governance standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to embed Purview into data workflows.
• Provide enablement, training, and guidance to support self-service data discovery and governance adoption.

Reporting and Optimisation

• Develop and deliver reports on governance maturity, data quality metrics, and compliance outcomes.
• Continuously optimise Purview configurations to improve scalability, performance, and efficiency across large and complex data estates.

• Service Desk shift – Triaging new incidents in call logging system ServiceNow
• Level 1 support for our customers ERP Systems – user setups, initial troubleshooting, gathering additional information
• Co-ordination and contribution to the monthly and weekly scheduled customer status reports
• Management of the monthly and weekly reporting cycle 
• Ensuring CSIP/customer recommendations are up to date and driven through
• Liaising with marketing and senior management on newsletter items to be included
• Driving KPI and ISO - Ensure that ServiceNow tickets are kept up-to-date and accurate and ensure that all notes and associated information relating to calls are added to the system in an appropriate manner and agreed customer SLAs are met
• Assist with creating knowledge documentation and sharing knowledge with the team Liaise with 3rd party Service Providers on incidents
• Project support – assist with testing or supervised configuration where required
• Adhering to client operational procedures and conducting daily checks
• Driving initiatives to streamline our processes.
