Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor overseesdaily warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment, ensuring efficientstorage, inventory control, and timely distribution of raw materials andfinished goods. The role focuses on maintaining accuracy, safety, andcoordination with production teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. WarehouseOperations Management
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storing, and issuing materials
- Ensure proper handling of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse conditions
2. Inventory Control
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and audits
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in stock levels
- Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO / FEFO practices)
3. Coordination withProduction
- Ensure timely supply of materials to production lines
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams to avoid delays
- Monitor material consumption and report shortages
4. Team Supervision
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff (storekeepers, pickers, forklift operators)
- Assign daily tasks and monitor performance
- Provide training on warehouse procedures and safety practices
5. Safety &Compliance
- Enforce health & safety regulations in the warehouse
- Ensure proper use of PPE and equipment
- Maintain compliance with company policies and legal requirements
6. Documentation& Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of:
- Goods received and dispatched
- Inventory movements
- Damaged or rejected materials
- Prepare regular reports for management
7. WarehouseEfficiency
- Optimize storage space and improve workflow
- Implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce handling time
