Cyber Response is one of five pillars in KPMG’s cyber security business, the others being Strategy & Governance, Transformation, Cyber Defence (Ethical Hacking) and Education (Training). The Cyber Response team primarily assists clients who have experienced a cyber security incident such as ransomware, business e-mail compromise or other kinds of network intrusion.

We investigate the root cause of the incident and the extent of the breach - what systems were affected and if data was exfiltrated. We also help clients to recover from the incident – help restore systems and expel intruders from the network as well as provide practical recommendations on how to prevent further incidents. The typical output of our work is a report which is used by client’s management or sent to regulators such as Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). Other activities include preparing clients for incidents by improving the processes, writing playbooks simulating incidents through war games and providing bespoke training.

You will work with an experienced team of forensic professionals, cyber incident coordinators, security professionals, attorneys, and corporate partners. As your experience grows, you will have opportunity to work in other pillars, but your first few years will be directed to become proficient in cyber response.

This role involves:

• Your tasks could include computer imaging, log file analysis, investigating computer artefacts, analysis of malware, briefing your colleagues and clients, and writing parts of reports.
• Day to day, you will be working in project teams, independent, but supervised by more experienced colleagues – Managers, and Associate Directors.
• You will also supervise and advise more junior colleagues on their day-to-day tasks.

What are we looking for:

• Hunger for knowledge. Cyber security is a rapidly expanding knowledge. You will have to continuously learn both on the job and on your own. KPMG will provide time and access to industry leading learning materials, but it will be up to you to make full use of these.
• 3-4 years of experience in a technology related field including at least 2 years in a technical role in cybersecurity with exposure to incident response and digital forensics.
• Good understanding of networking, how Internet works, computers, and basic familiarity with any one of big cloud providers such as Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Compute Platform, and, of course, Cyber Security.
• Understanding of Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems (OS). You should be able to understand the OS permission and security model, perform basic system maintenance tasks such as install the operating system, apply configuration from a guide, add/remove users and review system security logs against a checklist.
• Good understanding of digital forensics and experience (or hands-on training) applying these skills.
• Computer troubleshooting skills – ability to troubleshoot using common network and system tools.
• Comfortable with command line especially on Linux and able to write simple scripts that use a loop to iterate over files.
• Ability to program in any popular language and troubleshoot programs. Most of bespoke cyber security tools in KPMG are written in Python. If you have previous experience programming in other languages, you should be able to translate the concepts after a brief training time. The expected programming proficiency is to be able to write a program that reads a log file line by line, parses it into fields using regular expressions, enriches data by issuing requests to a web API and writes to a file the result.

Interpersonal/other skills:

• Time management. It is not uncommon to work on two projects at the same time. You should be able to understand priorities, be confident enough to clarify the priorities from senior team members and raise concerns if these are not achievable.
• Presentation skills. You should be comfortable presenting your conclusions to your colleagues and answer questions.  KPMG will provide further presentation skills training.
• Ability to write in plain English. Most projects end with a report presented to the client; you will be expected to write sections of the report on the areas you have worked on in plain (business) English.
• Leading self. You should be able to work by yourself towards your mid-term and long-term career goals. Your senior peers will provide coaching and mentoring.

Responsibilities:

This position is for a Risk Management Officer to Assistant Manager level professional who will support the Risk Management function of the Singapore Branch. 

• Collect, analyze, and monitor data across credit, market, liquidity, operational, and IT-related risks
• Support stress testing, scenario analysis, and gap analysis for various risk areas
• Assist with credit reviews, portfolio analysis, and watchlist/early warning account management
• Review borrowers' financial condition, covenant compliance, collateral, and ratings
• Monitor funding gaps, liquidity indicators, currency positions, and prepare related reports
• Support market risk reporting (interest rate risk, VaR, BpV, securities holdings)
• Prepare materials for Credit, ALM, Operational Risk, and Compliance Committees
• Review operational risk events, incidents, and remediation status
• Perform gap analysis on MAS circulars, guidelines, and notices against current operations
• Maintain and update risk management policies, manuals, and checklists
• Support responses to MAS queries, audits, and Head Office requests
• Drive process improvements and internal control enhancements

Requirements:

• Min 1 to 5 years of experience in risk management within financial institutions or audit firms
• Experience in analysis, reporting, review, or governance-related activities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts), PowerPoint, and Word
• Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently in a small team
• Attention to detail and willingness to perform detailed reviews and documentation
• Proactive in identifying and escalating issues to management
• Collaborative working style while maintaining Second Line of Defense independence
• Pragmatic and adaptable to the practical constraints of a small banking organization
• Advantage to have FRM (Financial Risk Manager), PRM (Professional Risk Manager), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or equivalent certifications are advantageous.

Role Overview:

The Private Wealth Management Relationship Manager (RM) is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs). The RM plays a strategic role in acquiring new clients, crafting personalized wealth management solutions, and maintaining long-term client relationships. The role demands a strong understanding of investment products, regulatory requirements, and cross-border wealth management practices.

Key Responsibilities Breakdown:

1. Client Acquisition & Relationship Development

• Proactively identify, source, and acquire new HNWI clients, particularly from Greater China.
• Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their life priorities, business interests, and wealth generation sources.
• Develop customized solutions aligned with clients’ financial goals, risk appetite, and wealth preservation strategies.

2. Advisory & Investment Solutions

• Conduct comprehensive financial and investment reviews, recommending appropriate products and services.
• Design and deliver tailored investment portfolios and wealth structuring solutions (e.g., fixed income, equities, FX, funds, alternative investments).
• Provide financing and liquidity solutions where appropriate, including margin financing or structured lending options.

3. Client Servicing & Portfolio Management

• Offer ongoing post-sales support, addressing clients’ evolving needs and service requests.
• Monitor client portfolios, proactively recommend adjustments based on market changes or client circumstances.
• Ensure high levels of service quality and responsiveness to build client trust and satisfaction.

4. Sales Performance & Business Targets

• Meet or exceed annual revenue and asset growth targets, in line with the bank’s private banking strategy.
• Collaborate with product, investment advisory, and operations teams to achieve cross-functional business goals.

5. Compliance & Risk Management

• Maintain strict adherence to regulatory requirements, including MAS and internal Fubon compliance standards.
• Ensure full compliance with AML/KYC, client suitability, and product appropriateness regulations.
• Stay current on regional regulatory changes that impact client onboarding and ongoing relationship management.

Candidate Requirements Breakdown:

1. Educational & Professional Background

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Finance, Business, Economics or related fields).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in private banking, priority banking, or wealth management.
• Direct experience with Greater China HNW client base is a strong advantage.

2. Regulatory & Licensing Competency

• Holder of Singapore’s Client Advisor Competency Standards (CACS), both Module 1 & 2.
• Solid understanding of MAS regulatory framework, including AML/CFT and suitability obligations.

3. Client & Market Knowledge

• Deep familiarity with Greater China markets: cultural fluency, language (Mandarin proficiency), and financial product preferences.
• Understanding of offshore and onshore wealth structures relevant to Chinese/Taiwanese clients.

4. Product & Technical Knowledge

• Broad knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and wealth management tools.
• Ability to articulate and position complex financial solutions in a clear, client-centric manner.

5. Sales & Interpersonal Skills

• Strong client-facing presence, high emotional intelligence, and relationship-building ability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage HNW clients and influence internal stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen and self-driven to meet KPIs under minimal supervision.
