What you’ll do

The Financial Reporting team strives to be Marketing's centre of excellence for efficient and effective Record to Report (RTR) processes while driving optimization on processes & implementing robust controls to capture accurate business and financial information in accordance and within the framework of accounting policies across all commodities in Marketing entities.

Reporting to the Team Lead – Financial Reporting, the Analyst supports the Accountant in performing the month-end closing and financial reporting activities for the Energy Solutions businesses and works closely with other stakeholders to support the timely delivery of quality data within agreed timelines.

From time to time, the Analyst may be involved in ad hoc finance projects and business initiative and represent Finance Reporting team in providing input to enable the capturing of accurate business and financial information for the RTR processes and will also work closely with Information Management Department to deploy technology to automate finance activities.

Lastly, the Analyst plays an integral role in supporting a continuous improvement culture within Finance.

Performance and Delivery

Drive efficient and effective Financial Reporting

·       The Analyst helps to drive the engine room of the Finance Reporting team, making sure that transactions are appropriately accounted for, perform month end tasksand reconciliations, and duly reported. All this will need to be done within the framework of our financial controls and accounting policies, and the role works closely with Risk, Group Shared Services and the wider Finance teams to formulate, implement and operate robust controls and ensure documentation of key processes within Financial Reporting.

Deliver on-demand information

·       The role plays a key role in making information available on-demand to support commercial decisions and new business initiatives. It works closely with the Finance Business Partners and other stakeholders around the group to determine data requirements and is responsible for managing the systems and processes to capture and deliver them as efficiently and accurately as possible.

·       Supports coordination and collection of performance information from all relevant sources and delivering Monthly Financial Statements and other regular information as required by the Marketing Business, Production Business Units or Group Finance.

·       Manages information through relevant systems, ensuring that data interfaces lead to traceable, reconcilable and well-supported financial information.

·       Workswith the Business Partnering and Corporate teams to design and implement the technical accounting logic to align data streams with business activities from performance and financial reporting perspectives.

Technology transformation

·       Working closely with IM, the role looks to implement technologies that improve control, increase information available for the business and automate transactional activity as much as possible, freeing up the team to add value elsewhere. It needs to think differently about the work Finance does and how it gets done, including the elimination of manual journals and recons as a cost to quality.

·       As we implement new systems, the role needs to establish appropriate processes for defining user needs and managing UAT for the Finance department, ensuring that accounting logic and financial controls are appropriately captured.

Continuous improvement

·       Create ways to measure and manage how well we perform as a team. Amongst the team, this role creates a culture that actively looks to improve workflows and processes, minimizing control weaknesses while increasing speed and accuracy.

• Financial Modelling – Develop and run detailed financial model for the mixed-use project with an Asset Management intent. Identify key investment drivers, conceptualise scenario analysis with sensitivities and assess impact to the development using IRR, NPV, MOC and other key performance indicators.
• Support Various Asset Classes - Asset development financials, operation revenue and expenses by working closely with asset development team (product delivery team, leasing team and operation team) in assessing variation orders, leasing deals and operating expenses forecast impact on asset returns in Excel, Dynaor Yardi.
• Debt and Equity Management – Work with treasury to optimise project structuring (cash flow, hedging, interest rates, debt covenants and tax).
• Commercial Contract Review – Formulate or review commercial terms for contracts to ensure advantageous impact to project cash flow streams and asset financials
• Market Research and Analysis – where required, conduct market research on key assumptions including: residential sale transactions, leasing deals, valuation movements and CPI, WACC.
• Asset Review – Assist with asset analysis and review of the existing assets, which may include strategic positioning, revenue optimisation and cost efficiencies, review of lease renewals, asset enhancements, sustainability, valuation, budgeting and any other ad-hoc requests.
• Presentation/Report Writing – Assist in the preparation of internal and external presentations, reports and Board papers.
• Project Administration and Transaction Readiness – Ensure a systematic filing process is in place. Not limited to due diligence, transaction, valuation, legal, SPV, development, financial documentation etc.
• Stakeholder Management Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure relevant and accurateinformation is collated. Proactively supporting the needs of the team and widerbusiness where requested.
  

2. New Business Support

• Support and provide financial analysis to support commercial decision making.
• Assist with deal/bid leads in crafting Investment Committee Papers to achieve desired outcome
• Assist with project pipeline planning and management of pipeline status updates.

Requirements:

• Real estate experience preferred.
• Professionalqualifications which may include CA, ACCA or CPA qualifications
• Minimum degree qualified (finance, mathematics, economics, real estate or engineering preferred)
• Experience financial planning and analysis, preferably in real estate sector.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in either public accounting or commercial environment
• Candidates from Audit firms with real estate exposure are welcome to apply.
• Strong understanding and ability to apply accounting standards.
• Advanced financial modelling in excel.
• OracleR12, Yardi desirable.

Principal Responsibilities

• Client manager role in performing client due diligence (CDD) checks on prospective customers at onboarding, periodic review and on existing customers going through a material trigger event
• Responsible to manage own book of onboarding work and complete by targeted timeline
• Outreach to customers in obtaining KYC information and documents, hand holding clients through the CDD process
• Review the information and documents provided by customers during this process, ensure that all information and documents collected are good to satisfy regulatory requirements

Requirements

As a KYC specialist, your key responsibilities include:

• Analyse client profile to determine the required KYC information as per procedure
• Support the review and collection of KYC documentation for new and analysing existing client documents across client types i.e. individuals, corporates, funds and FIs.
• Conduct preliminary due diligence checks, name screening, background checks and basic risk assessments in accordance with internal AML/CFT/CPF guidelines
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and clients to obtain required documents and resolve KYC-related issues or queries
• Assist in tracking and monitoring on boarding pipelines, outstanding items, and periodic review schedules
• Escalate KYC deficiencies or red flags to senior team members for further assessment
• Support documentation and maintain a data matrix for regular team review, reporting, audit, or regulatory request
• Participate in process improvement discussions and contribute ideas to enhance operational efficiency
• Maintain proper records and ensure data integrity across internal systems
• Escalation of operational, regulatory and other risks to line manager and functional leads as appropriate; contributes to the development and implementation of mitigation or control solutions as required.

Our ideal candidate

• 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in KYC/CDD or client on boarding (Analyst: 1–2 years | Associate: 3–4 years)
• Proficient in KYC Profiling
• Knowledgeable and experienced in account documentation, sophisticated AML/KYC knowledge in banking or financial industry
• Ability to develop a good knowledge of the customer base, with sensitivity to customer needs.
• Familiar with AML/CFT/CPF standards and regulatory expectations (CRS, FATCA, SIP, etc.)
• Mature, strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and problem solving ability with excellent interpersonal skills and a compliance-oriented attitude
