As Client Service Executive, you will be an information resource expert, providing dedicated support to assigned clients across Malaysia. You will collaborate closely with operations and account teams, to help client users leverage on suite of products/services and make informed business decisions. Assignments range from data extracts and validation, brand performance analyses, software applications training, creating syndicated reports, to assisting in projects that drive process excellence. 

• Be the day-to-day contact of Retailers clients, who contact our Client Support Centre by phone or email. You will advise clients on RMS resources and tools, data standards and analyses, audit and calculation methodologies, and other information services. 

• Deliver analyses, charts and reports that are clear, concise and meaningful to clients. Engage effectively with multiple clients at a time, to ensure that deliverables meet/exceed expectations of timeliness and quality. 

• Conduct regular reviews with Client Service and Operations teams, to monitor service delivery KPIs involving response times, quality levels and workflow efficiency. Key contributor role in identifying process improvement opportunities. 

• Maintain timely communications with account teams and senior management, to keep stakeholders up-to-date on client requirements and call out any issues/ risks. Document records of client inquiries and resolutions, into activity logs and Knowledge Base file shares. 

• Organize content for Resource Library, to help clients keep ahead of Nielsen practices and policies, service enhancements, technology updates, macro market dynamics and retail trends. 

• Support senior management on developing Thought Leadership case studies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the Capesize broking team in the negotiation and fixture process by providing timely market intelligence and operational support.
• Monitor and analyze dry bulk shipping market activities, with a focus on the Capesize segment.
• Prepare and distribute daily market updates, including vessel fixtures, freight rates, and route-specific developments to brokers and clients.
• Maintain and update centralized market databases to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of information.

Detailed Day to Day task:

• Update and maintain daily records of Capesize fixtures and freight market developments across key trade routes.
• Compile and distribute morning market reports for brokers and clients.
• Support broker communications by preparing market updates and centralized data reports through internal communication channels.
• Ensure all market data, vessel positions, and cargo information are accurately maintained within internal systems.
• Assist brokers in distributing cargo and tonnage availability reports to targeted client groups.
• Follow up on vessel and cargo positions to ensure information remains current and actionable.
• Monitor market movements and provide relevant updates to support ongoing negotiations and commercial discussions.

Job Requirement:

• Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and identify key trends.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage routine, data-intensive tasks efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a professional approach to communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; knowledge of SQL or other data analysis tools is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn about the dry bulk shipping industry.

Your Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Intern to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on managing and resolving level 1 customer inquiries, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers. The ideal candidate is familiar with Zendesk and Shopify or willing to learn.

We are looking for someone who can start from August onwards - ideally on a full-time internship.

For part-time internships, we would require an availability of 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer queries about product information, order statuses, and basic troubleshooting through various channels (email, social media).

• Zendesk Ticket Management: Use Zendesk to create, track, and resolve customer tickets promptly and professionally.

• Shopify Order Management: Assist customers with orders and process refunds and cancellations using Shopify.

• Escalate Complex Issues: Identify when customer issues require escalation to Level 2 support or other departments and ensure seamless handoffs.

• Maintain Customer Records: Update and maintain accurate customer information and interaction history in the CRM.

• Provide Product/Service Information: Offer customers guidance on product usage, specifications, and availability.

• Assist with Order Processing: Support order fulfillment, payment issues, and logistics queries via the Shopify platform.

• Customer Feedback: Collect and relay feedback to improve customer service operations and processes.
  
  

Requirements

• Experience with Zendesk: Basic knowledge of Zendesk or a similar customer service platform is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with Shopify: Experience using Shopify to manage orders or customer interactions is a plus.

• Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written communication skills to interact with customers professionally.

• Problem-Solving Attitude: Ability to think quickly and handle customer concerns effectively.

• Organisational Skills: Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple inquiries simultaneously.

• Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with other team members and departments for issue resolution.
