Job Description:

• Team member in audit engagements, which include planning, executing risk based financial and operational audits and completing audit statutory financial audits.
• Obtain a thorough understanding of Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA) and common audit procedures and techniques.
• Develop a good understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and financial statements presentation and generally accepted accounting principles and others reporting requirements, where applicable.
• Research and analyse financial statements and audit related issues.
• Manage client's expectation and provide timely updates and or feasible solutions on their queries.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accountancy or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs such as MS Word, MS Excel and Office 365.
• Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude.
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.

Requirements

Due to our growth, we are currently looking for an ambitious internal audit manager who has experience in managing and running internal audit and risk management engagements. As a manager you should have at least six years’ experience in executing internal audit reviews, conducting enterprise risk management exercises, managing a portfolio of clients, presenting to management and Audit Committees and reporting to the Director or Head of risk consulting of your Firm.

Additionally, you should be self-motivated and have the ambition to grow our risk consulting division by having the initiative to engage in business development activities and generating new clients through proposals, client training and networking.

You should be a University graduate and/or possess professional qualification such as Certified Internal Auditor and preferably have worked in a boutique internal audit firm or in the internal audit division of a mid-tier to large firm of Chartered Accountants in Singapore.

As an Associate, you will work as part of a team with extensive industry experience, supporting our clients in addressing complex business issues and contributing to the delivery of risk consulting and internal audit engagements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying key controls and perform audit procedures to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls across various business processes
• Support audit engagements on regulatory and compliance matters
• Prepare draft internal audit reports, including documenting audit observations and recommendations on business processes and internal controls
• Assist in identifying practical business process improvements to address control gaps and enhance efficiency
• Participate in fieldwork and provide regular updates to seniors and managers on engagement progress
• Support in the preparation of presentation materials for audit findings and client discussions
• Follow established audit methodologies and ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant standards and guidelines
• Stay informed of applicable laws, regulations, and industry practices, with guidance from senior team members
• Contribute to team initiatives and continuous improvement of internal audit processes and tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA) are advantageous but not mandatory
• 1 – 2 years of experience in internal audit or related field preferred (fresh graduates with relevant internships are welcome to apply)
• Basic understanding of internal auditing standards and principles
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with audit/data tools is a plus
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and within a team
