The Electrical Source Inspection & Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all electrical equipment and systems are manufactured, tested, and delivered in full compliance with project specifications, regulatory standards, and client expectations prior to dispatch. The role is critical in maintaining the integrity, safety, and reliability of power infrastructure within mission-critical data center environments.
Working closely with manufacturers and suppliers, the engineer conducts detailed inspections and witnesses testing activities to verify that equipment such as switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, and control panels meet stringent performance and quality requirements. This includes validating protection schemes, system functionality, and integration readiness.
The role serves as a key control point within the project delivery lifecycle, preventing defective or non-compliant equipment from reaching site, reducing commissioning risks, and ensuring operational resilience. By enforcing robust quality assurance practices at source, the engineer contributes directly to achieving predictable project outcomes, minimising risk, and supporting the long-term reliability of critical electrical systems.
