The Mechanical (HVAC) Source Inspection & Quality Control Engineer is responsible for assuring the quality, performance, and compliance of critical mechanical systems and equipment prior to shipment from supplier and manufacturing facilities. This role is essential in safeguarding the reliability and efficiency of HVAC infrastructure that underpins mission-critical environments such as data centers.
Through detailed inspection, testing oversight, and quality surveillance, the engineer verifies that all mechanical equipment—such as chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, and piping systems—is manufactured, assembled, and tested in accordance with approved specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. The role places a strong emphasis on performance validation, ensuring systems will meet stringent operational and uptime expectations.
Acting as a key quality gate within the supply chain, the engineer identifies and mitigates risks early, drives resolution of non-conformities, and ensures completeness of technical documentation and certification. This ultimately supports smooth installation, commissioning, and long-term operational performance of mechanical systems within high-availability data center environments.
