Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all food preparation and storage areas
- Ensure mise en place is prepared and restocked before and after service hours
- Assist with daily inventory checks and report stock levels
- Support in receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries properly
- Comply with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Report equipment issues or safety hazards promptly
- Assist with plating, garnishing, and food presentation
- Perform general cleaning and kitchen maintenance duties
- Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Head Chef
Job Requirements:
- Relevant culinary experience is a bonus; Candidates or applicants with no experience are welcome to apply (training provided)
- Interest in Japanese cuisine and a willingness to learn.
- Able to work on weekends, public holidays, and on rotating shifts.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude and good work ethics.
- Able to work 6 days a week
