The VCA team within Japan provides a comprehensive range of consulting services and solutions to our clients in Japan, that address unique challenges in areas such as strategic growth, profitability, risk management and digital strategy.

What a Manager, Visa Consulting and Analytics does at Visa:

This role in Japan will be responsible for delivering consulting engagements for our financial institution clients in Japan, enabling growth and improved profitability across their payments business.

A Consulting Manager is responsible for significant components of client engagements, and in some cases end to end delivery. Typically, this will involve interacting with the client team, gathering and managing project inputs, analyzing data to form conclusions and recommendations, developing and presenting compelling project reports and working with clients on executing recommendations.  The full range of responsibilities are detailed below:

Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation of client project proposals, providing input to objectives, scope, deliverables, approach, dependencies, roles and responsibilities
• Develop a fact base by undertaking client interviews and analyzing client documentation or processes
• Analyze Visa and client data to benchmark client performance vs. industry averages to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with data science team to leverage advanced data analytics capabilities
• Collaborate with the market support center team, broader global team, or other functional teams to obtain specific subject matter expertise as needed
• Identify solutions and recommendations that address client objectives and result in performance improvement, leveraging relevant VCA methodologies, frameworks, and global best practices
• Design and deliver compelling presentations to illustrate findings, ideas, recommendations within consulting engagements and more broadly
• Support implementation of VCA recommendations or client initiatives, using project management and problem-solving frameworks

What a Senior Data Scientist does at Visa:

• Executing multiple medium to large analytic projects along with rest of the stakeholders in analytics & consulting teams
• Establishing best practices for change management, model automation and production rollout

With our deep knowledge and expertise, we bring the voice of the customer into the design, development and successful deployment of Visa products and services. We are trusted partners to Visa’s clients, providing expertise to support and successfully grow their business.
The Acceptance Solution team within Client Service is to support Cybersource products and services. Cybersource offers a full-service payment management platform for Acquirer partners and merchants, covering global payment processing, fraud management and payment security systems.

What a Technical Account Manager does at Visa:
The Technical Account Manager supports and assists Acquirer partners and online and offline merchants using all Cybersource Enterprise products and services. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical and operational support via e-mail, direct phone on a daily basis, and face-to-face meetings occasionally. Responsibilities also include assisting new and existing clients to set Cybersource’s digital/online payment services, educating them on the use of our tools and reports, and solving issues by collaborating cross-functionally internally.
The candidate will report to the Director, Client Services Acceptance Solutions Japan, and is required to work as a team member, displaying accurate interpretation and response as a world-class client services organization.

In this role, you are expected to:

• Act as primary technical and operational point of contact for Acquirer partners, addressing any technical challenges and payment system related questions from them.
• Manage partner/merchant escalations until the issues have been resolved.
• Configure internal systems to enable effective processing for clients using our products and services
• Manage new merchant implementations and provide consultative guidance.
• Monitor accounts to ensure optimal transaction performance.
• Advocate product enhancement requests with our cross-functional teams.
• Lead product training and perform account business reviews as needed.
• Maintain expert knowledge of Cybersource products and services through training and self-study

Team Overview

Value Added Services (VAS) is one of three growth strategies for Visa globally, aimed at diversifying Visa’s revenue with products and solutions that differentiate its network and deliver valuable solutions across other networks.

All associated capabilities and services will report into the three functions in VAS – Acceptance Sales, Solution Sales and Technical Enablement. These functions together are accountable for both sales and end-to-end technical enablement of VAS products towards all types of clients such as banks, financial institutions, platformers, merchants, wallet providers, etc. The team coordinates across various business functions in Japan such as Client Relationship Management and Client Services, as well as our global offices, to support the business growth of our clients.

What a Solutions Manager does at Visa:
Reporting to a Director in Value-Added Services, the Solutions Manager role will be responsible for consulting clients on the technical architecture, value proposition and integration of our Value-Added Services products to clients. The Solutions Manager will work closely with our Client Relationship Management team, VAS Sales roles, Client Services and Asia Pacific Market Support Center in Singapore to leverage whole Visa technical expertise into client interactions and sales meetings.

The role requires you to lead consultation on client challenges, develop and refine new solution offerings, migration plans, and work with internal and external stakeholders to provide our clients an optimal integration experience with Visa Acceptance Solutions by demonstrating to our clients how our solutions can be integrated into their existing infrastructure and business processes while addressing any technical concerns.

Candidates should demonstrate skills in Sales Engineering, project management, consulting, and presentation/training in complex IT environments. The candidate should be familiar with SaaS solutions and/or the card payments industry. Although the role will not be directly responsible for signing new deals, the client-facing nature of the job will require a sales mindset and ability to explain how our solutions solve client problems and deliver value to the client. The right candidate will have passion for technology, project management excellence, customer advocacy, solving client problems, and will see this role as contributing to the strategic evolution of overall payment eco-system in Japan.

What a Government Solutions Director does at Visa:

Visa is seeking an experienced payment professional to join the Visa Government Solutions team to lead our public sector work in Japan. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities: 

• Deepan our public sector sales strategy and delivery in the region to increase sales volume and market share
• Identify and execute commercial opportunities in government led projects that focus on government payment flows, data and other government growth priorities to develop new business flows for Visa
• Lead RFP response and commercial deals in collaboration with cross-functional teams
