Climate change is the defining challenge of this century, and healthcare is both a victim of climate change and a major contributor to it. The Centre for Sustainable Medicine (CoSM) at the National University of Singapore works at the frontier of policy, clinical systems, and global health to accelerate the transition to low-carbon, climate-resilient health systems across Asia and worldwide.

Purpose of the Post

We invite applications from a dynamic, experienced professional to help advance CoSM’s research priorities and to strengthen the real-world uptake of the Centre’s work.

The postholder will work across the Centre’s major workstreams - including health system carbon analytics, clinical transformation, and capacity building - ensuring that research and technical evidence are synthesised, interpreted, and translated into decision-ready outputs for policymakers, health system leaders, clinicians, partners, and other stakeholders.

1. Research synthesis, analysis, and translation

Purpose of the Post

Qualifications

Academic Background

• Master’s degree in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, social sciences, medicine, or other quantitative disciplines.
• Basic working knowledge of epidemiological measures (e.g. incidence, prevalence, mortality rates, age-standardized rates, disability-adjusted life years) is required.
• Prior research experience is an advantage but is not strictly required.

Analytical & Technical Skills

The Research Assistant will participate in a research project which examines key processes of carbon cycling in blue carbon ecosystems. Bulk of the research will focus on mesocosm experiments in ex situ aquaria.

•    Bachelor’s degree in Urban Science/Analytics, Computational Biology, Environmental Systems, Data Science, Digital Humanities, or a closely related field.
•    Proven proficiency in computational programming and data analysis (Python, MATLAB, R, C++).

Job description:

Important note:

Responsibilities:

What you'll be doing

• Accurately processing and recording supplier invoices in a timely manner

• Reconciliation against supplier’s statement of accounts

• Preparing and submitting payment runs to ensure suppliers are paid on time

• Maintaining detailed records and documentation for all financial transactions

• Responding to supplier inquiries and resolving any discrepancies or issues

• Prepare AP trade and non-trade payment listing

• Perform bank reconciliation

• Contract booking for Forex and submission of Trade Financing transactions

• Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and analysis as required

• Collaborating with the broader finance team to support the overall financial management of the business

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role

The Field Services Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site technical support to customers. This include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting to support our customer. This role is a full-time position and based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

· Commissioning, maintainance & servicing a wide range of Life Sciences equipments

· Conduct routine maintenance & repairs on Life Sciences equipments

· Diagnose technical problems, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs at customer sites

· Collaborate with the sales team to provide service quotations, detailing the scope of work, parts required, and costs.

· Maintain detailed service records of service activities, parts used, & instrument records

· Provide technical support and assistance to customers via phone/email, or on-site visits.

· Stay current with product knowledge and industry advancements

· Comply with all safety guidelines and protocols during service visits

· During the term of employment, the employee shall devote full working time, attention to the performance of their assigned duties, which shall be to the benefit of the Company and/or its Affiliates, defined as any company under the same shareholding structure

Requirements:

•     Min Diploma/ Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics or related)

•     1 - 3 years’ experience in servicing Life Sciences & Medical equipment.

•     Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

•     Excellent communication and customer service skills.

•     Detail-oriented and organized.
