Job scope:

- Prepare food items for ready consumption (e.g. cooking, toasting, reheating)

- Portion, assemble and/or package menu dishes and other food items

- Clean food preparation areas, kitchen stations, equipment, tables, cutlery

- Provide counter service (e.g. greet customers, recommend food items), where needed

- Collect payment from customers

- Package food/drinks for takeaways

Working Days:

Job Summary

Assist in kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness and food safety, and supporting the Chef to ensure smooth daily kitchen functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting according to kitchen standards
• Store ingredients and food items following food safety guidelines to maintain freshness and prevent contamination
• Clean and sanitize cooking areas, equipment, and food storage stations to uphold hygiene and safety standards
• Maintain a tidy and organized kitchen workspace to support efficient operations
• Collaborate with team members to support daily kitchen activities and ensure smooth workflow
• Follow instructions from the Chef and perform other kitchen duties as assigned

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working with Taiwan and Asian cuisine
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Description

•Familiar with the cooking of Chinese cuisine eg. Chinese hot pot etc.

• Prepare raw materials/ingredients for cooking

• Cook food in accordance with the specified recipes and apply different methods of cooking

• Dish out, replenish food during peak time.

1. Undertake menu planning

2. Oversee and participate in the preparation and cooking of all main dishes and Kuehs and other in accordance with specified menus on time to deliver to various outlets.

3. Check quantity and quality of stock received and notify suppliers of deficiencies.

4. Oversee washing and cleaning of floors, crockery, utensils, work surfaces and other kitchens equipment to ensure that the necessary hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained in the kitchen and dining room as appropriate.

5. Ensure that the appropriate clothing, including head wear, is worn at all times in accordance with the health guidelines. 

6. Supervise / Train the junior Kitchen Staff Team on shift.

7. To undertake such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils and other kitchen equipment
• Ensure all items are stored in their proper places after cleaning
• Maintain dishwashing area, sink and floor clean and organized
• Dispose of kitchen waste and garbage appropriately
• Report any faulty or damaged equipment to the supervisor promptly
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards in a Halal kitchen environment
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Company

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus
• Physically fit; able to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads (up to 20kg).
• Able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Able to work on weekend/public holiday
• Able to work 6 days a week from 0900hrs to 1800hrs, including weekends and public holidays

· Preparing and printing of document for the operation
