Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support the daily operations of the pharmacy department. The successful candidate will assist in medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient service while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, and supply of medications.
- Perform medication packing, labeling, and inventory replenishment.
- Manage stock control, including ordering, receiving, and monitoring medication inventory.
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of pharmacy records.
- Provide frontline customer service and respond to patient enquiries professionally.
- Support medication distribution processes and other pharmacy operational activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised pharmacy environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or relevant qualification in Pharmaceutical Science, Pharmacy Technology, or related discipline.
- Prior experience in a hospital, retail, or healthcare pharmacy setting will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication handling, and inventory management.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing-related duties.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in basic computer applications and pharmacy-related systems.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays where required.
