To support the continued growth and transformation of our APAC business, we are seeking a highly strategic APAC CO+I Business Manager to partner closely with regional leadership. In this role, you will help drive business execution, operational governance, and organizational effectiveness across a complex, rapidly expanding infrastructure portfolio ensuring regional priorities translate into measurable outcomes aligned with Microsoft’s long‑term strategic objectives.

As a key member of the regional leadership team, you will enable informed decision‑making, advance critical business initiatives, and lead process improvements that strengthen execution discipline and operational scale across APAC.

Responsibilities

Business Operations

• Supports day-to-day business operations and planning. Helps to manage team’s rhythm of business (ROB), attends key meetings, ensures timely response to action items, fields and gathers information about engagement asks, and assists in preparation for executive meetings.
• Assists with ROB by kicking off internal initiatives with relevant team leaders/members, managing team adherence to organizational compliance goals, and communicating team feedback and questions.
• Works with cross-team counterparts and supports collaborations with the leadership team to articulate objectives and deliverables and to measure the outcomes relative to the stated goals.
• Creates robust, efficient and sustainable business processes and programs.
• Follows best practices for strategy, consolidates information, and advocates for and prepares information to support the presentation of business cases to leaders. Collaborates with partners and Microsoft stakeholders to ensure alignment in creation and implementation of execution plans.
• Researches and prepares information for the team. Tracks and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and aids in data-driven decisions.

Organizational Health

• Tracks the use of role-based compliance trainings and new trainings, as well as leading collaborating on culture initiatives (e.g., Diversity and Inclusion, hiring, onboarding) while partnering with Human Resources to do so. Drives training completion rates and ensures a healthy compliance scorecard for the team.
• Analyzes performance metrics to support accountability for the team in executing core business activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in operations management, program management, process management, process improvement

• Master’s Degree in relevant field (e.g., MBA) AND 3+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles.

As a Construction EHS Project Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundation technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, XBOX, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.  Empower Billions!  

The Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) business is critical to delivering on this mission and vision, building and operating Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure, which is growing rapidly in response to unprecedented demand for Microsoft services. CO+I operates one of the largest cloud networks on the planet – comprised of more than 160 Datacenters, 130+ edge sites, 2+ million miles of fiber, and millions of servers and network and storage devices. 

The APAC Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team is seeking a Construction EHS Project Manager with the passion to drive value across complex supplier relationships and demonstrated experience in supplier management. Strong analytical skills, using data to design processes that scale, effective collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, and the drive to continuously improve and achieve business objectives will be critical to success in this role.  The span and complexity of our activities requires advanced knowledge and technical specialization in construction and design safety management to recognize and control risks. 

The Construction EHS Project Manager must be an experienced and recognized technical expert in Construction and Design Safety, to include incorporation of safety into business and project management processes. His/her mission is to assist EHS program safety leads, business line Regional Directors, and Construction Managers with advancing safety programs and culture for both the lease and build portfolios.  This role will be functioning as the person who will be responsible for design, delivery and maintenance of various reports, forums, analysis, etc.    S/he will monitor risks, trends and leading/lagging metrics, then develop reports and management review content that will be used to drive accountability and action.  There will be extensive interaction with a diverse range of business partners, peers and stakeholders inside and outside of the company.  Close liaison will be maintained with stakeholders, the overall APAC EHS Team and the EPC team.

The span and complexity of our activities requires advanced knowledge and technical specialization in construction and design safety management to recognize and control risks. 

Responsibilities

The Construction EHS Project Manager will: 

• Work with leaders, staff and contractors at all levels and in multiple cultures to implement effective solutions. 
• Drive supplier safety performance through safety leadership engagement, collaborative forums, and contractual assurance actions.
• Assist the EHS Construction Managers valuate EHS risks during site selection, design, construction, and commissioning activities and ensure actions are taken to mitigate risks.
• Work with business partners and peer EHS teams to ensure the transition from datacenter delivery to datacenter operations is smooth and risks are adequately mitigated. 
• Drive a standardized and harmonized approach across datacenter activities to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. 
• Present on a regular basis to various leadership teams.
• Interface with local, national and international regulatory agencies on safety issues.
• Interpret safety standards and regulatory requirements to assure compliance and aggressive management of risk.
• Track and report on risk mitigation goals and develop metrics, dashboards and/or scorecards to track/communicate/drive progress. 
• Analyze leading & lagging safety metrics and communicate results to leadership to drive action and accountability.
• Provide training to staff.
• Carry out routine safety program, project, and contractor audits.
• Perform and participate in incident investigations.

Qualifications

Education:

•  A University/Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education in science, engineering or related Safety/SHE discipline/degree is preferred but equivalent experience and/or certifications can be substituted.

Experience:

•  A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Construction and Design Safety is required, with demonstrated knowledge and experience controlling the broad spectrum of safety risks.
• The successful candidate will have a strong record of accomplishment preventing injuries, developing/implementing robust processes and management systems, and in building productive collaborative relationships with internal/external business partners. 
• The successful candidate will be a strong communicator & influencer who is credible, self-assured and highly capable of negotiating successful outcomes with key business leaders…...while at the same time being flexible to different approaches and changing business priorities.  S/he will have strong technical skills and the ability to describe and write complex issues/requirements in a clear and concise manner.  S/he will apply previous learning and ideas to new situations, projects and teams, developing creative solutions to manage risk.  S/he will demonstrate strong business acumen that includes experience working with business partners at various levels and functions.
• Excellent communication and project management skills are required, including the ability to lead teams, produce and maintain timelines, manage multiple commitments and assemble project information into clear, concise written reports.
• This is a highly influential position reporting to the  APAC EHS Sr. Director. The position location is in Singapore and will be a role supporting EHS for construction projects in the APAC region.

This position is specifically aligned with our Small, Medium, Enterprise and Channel (SME&C) customers and partners and will support this segment in one of three regions (Americas, EMEA or APAC). This role will work in close partnership with a similarly aligned Area Support Lead (ASL), a role that is focused on Crisis Prevention and Management.

• Own field engagement and readiness: Educate CSU and field teams on how to proactively and reactively engage CSS, including escalation paths; educate field teams on strategic initiatives, AI adoption and relevant business results; run an always-on training cadence; publish and maintain Area plans to address top support concerns and improve readiness over time. 
• Lead Renewal Assist program execution: Ensure timely triage and renewal-win planning, engage the right resources, partner with account teams through renewal dates and assist in deal shaping, ensuing that customers have the right offerings to ensure their success. 
• Lead customer engagements and escalation management: Lead confidence calls and executive-level engagements; coordinate CSS, engineering and CE&S resources to ensure escalated issues are resolved; act as the voice of the field on support offering effectiveness and contract right-sizing. 
• Improve customer health and resiliency: Partner with CSU leadership to build and execute plans that improve customer health signals, including reactivity, major incident response plans, proactivity and resiliency; drive measurable improvements and share best practices. 
• Get Healthy Plans: Own and orchestrate segment/customer/partner plans, partnering with CSS stakeholders to ensure correct actions are identified and implemented; know the systemic issues within the Area and plan appropriate repair items in line with CSS ongoing or planned initiatives. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 8+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement OR equivalent experience 
• 7+ years of experience in customer success and/or customer support, business operations, change management and project management. 
• Executive maturity, organizational agility and strong impact and influence competencies, with experience working on global teams. 
• Ability to work effectively across groups (business and functions) in a fast-paced work environment, influencing without authority and driving work through others. 

Additional or Preferred Qualifications: 

• Masters Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 8+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement OR equivalent experience
