JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be the key liaison and contact point between the bank and external legal counsel
• Understand and instruct external legal counsel to provide legal advisory interpretation services, drafting legal correspondence (Letters of set-off and Demand letters etc), assist in reviewing litigation cases (Registration of security documents, Legal opinions, Release & discharge of securities and Redemptions, Non-standard security and facility documentation, Shipbuilding contracts, refund guarantees, debentures, assignments, mortgages)
• Review Legal documents (Injunctions, Winding-up notices, Court orders, Garnishee orders, Notices from liquidators, official assignees or receivers)
• Review executed documents submitted by borrowers to ensure completeness and enforceability. To identify irregularities from approved credit terms and ensure appropriate rectification
• Review security documents, facility letters and agreement prepared by both officers and external lawyers (for non-standard documentation) to ensure completeness and enforceability
• Manage the execution and closure of legal documentation for non-standard credits
• Review Performance Bonds, Letters of Guarantee, Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), Bank Guarantees (BGs) and provide recommendations/raise any legal concerns or issues for management’s approval
• Download/distribute weekly Credit Monitoring System reports to Credit Marketing and General Manager (i.e. to monitor legal action involving borrower and guarantors)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Law or any other relevant education
• Relevant banking legal documentation and has acted as legal key liaison with external legal counsels
• Meticulous, organized, team player and has good interpersonal skills

This role offers strong exposure to regulatory reporting, capital adequacy monitoring, and multi-entity financial oversight within a dynamic trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full financial accounting and month-end close for the Singapore entity, ensuring integrity of trade-to-ledger interfaces, reconciliations, and robust balance sheet governance across equities, fixed income and derivatives.
• Drive daily monitoring of MAS risk-based capital adequacy requirements and oversee timely, accurate regulatory submissions.
• Act as a key finance partner to local, regional and head office stakeholders, ensuring high-quality financial reporting and alignment across jurisdictions.
• Strengthen internal controls, governance standards and operating processes to enhance compliance, scalability and risk management across Singapore-managed entities.
• Lead statutory reporting, audit and tax coordination, while contributing to finance transformation and strategic projects to support evolving regulatory and business demands.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related discipline; CPA qualified or in progress
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within asset management firms or banks; prior Big 4 audit training is advantageous
• Proven experience managing financial, regulatory, and statutory audits
• Analytical and commercially minded, with the ability to operate independently while driving process improvements
• Proficient in MS Office, with experience in SAP or similar ERP systems
• Strong communicator with confidence in presentation and stakeholder management

Job Description & Requirements

• Plan and manage manpower manning and deployment of officers for all sites under your charge. This is done through the monthly / weekly deployment schedule and redeployment of officers between sites to fulfill headcount requirements;
• Manage officers under your charge including training, appraisals, leave matters, disciplinary actions and adherence to PWM grade;
• Manage all required pre- and post- Headcount / Incident / Supervisory Reports and any other reports as required by clients and Senior Management;
• Supervise all security teams and conduct of site checks to ensure adherence to established SOPs and procedures, and to ensure proficiency of officers in executing assigned tasks;
• Any other duties as assigned by the Senior Management. Ensure that operation related equipment e.g. walkie talkies, Guard Tour system conform to the company’s specified requirement.
• Ensure the serviceability status of operational equipment at all assignments is in good working order.
• Ensure proper manpower development and training.
• Ensure the effectiveness of the implementation if the Quality Management System within the Operations Department
• Well versed in security technology, eg remote monitoring, virtual patrolling etc
• Managing and ensuring CCTVs are set up and working at all deployment sites
• Set up clocking points and ensure reports are sent to clients in a timely manner
