Wise is looking for a strategic and innovative Talent Development Lead to guide our talent initiatives across APAC and shape the future of Wise. In this role, you will create and implement a comprehensive talent strategy that ensures the right skills are available at the right time across our hubs in Singapore and Hyderabad.

You will foster a culture of continuous learning, working closely with senior leaders and global teams to provide high-impact development opportunities that enhance capabilities, boost performance, and support career progression.

You will oversee leadership development, new-hire onboarding, and other key programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, measuring the impact of training, managing budgets, and collaborating with external providers to deliver effective and engaging learning solutions. This role is based in our Singapore office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement talent development strategies that align with overall company objectives and regional business needs.

• Design, adapt, and deliver training programs to address skill gaps and reflect local market demands.

• Collaborate with senior leadership and the people team to define key learning objectives and deliver integrated talent initiatives.

• Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs, including leadership development, compliance training, technical skills, and onboarding.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of facilitators and learning partners, establishing them as trusted advisors throughout the employee development cycle.

• Create and execute a strategic plan aligned with our three core pillars: building skills for the future, evolving our ways of working, and delivering an irresistible employee experience.

• Champion a culture of inclusive, continuous learning and professional development across the region.

• Work closely with our talent management and talent acquisition teams to deliver a holistic approach to talent at wise.

• Manage external training provider relationships, including contract negotiation and assessing the effectiveness of external solutions.

Qualifications

Background and expertise

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, ideally in adult learning, business management, or a related field.

• Proven experience in learning and development, talent development, or training within a service-oriented organisation, ideally within the fintech, financial services, or tech industry

• Demonstrated success as a people leader, including the ability to inspire and guide regionally dispersed teams.

Core skills

• Strong proficiency in project management and design thinking.

• Consultative approach to problem-solving, applying data-driven insights to create tailored solutions.

• Confidence in interpreting data and producing data-led, visually compelling presentations.

• Organised, detail-focused, and able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.

• Adept at stakeholder management, communicating effectively with diverse teams to encourage collaboration.

• Experience in virtual and international environments, including hybrid teams.

• Excellent command of English; additional language skills are an advantage.

As a Recruiter at Wise you’ll be responsible for hiring the best talent for Core Functions and Servicing Operations in Hyderabad. You’ll own talent management, helping Servicing Operations to scale to enable Wise to achieve our mission - money without borders. You’ll be a key member of the recruitment team with a focus on delivering exceptional talent while keeping candidate and hiring manager experience front and centre of what you do.

As a Recruiter you are vital to the overall success of Wise.  The right person will have an excellent knowledge of talent management and understand how to partner effectively.

Your mission:

• You’ll help us scale our Core Functions and Servicing Operations teams over the next few years so we can help more customers save money using Wise

• You’ll manage candidates end-to-end ensuring they receive the best possible experience in line with Wise values, even if they weren’t successful (you never know, the perfect role might come up later), and build a strong talent network locally and internationally

• You’ll build and develop relationships with with hiring teams, guiding them through processes

• Always seeking growth opportunities, not afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and take a risk

• Collaborate with sourcers to understand the candidate market and engage the best talent 

• Use data to support your hiring recommendations, as well as using it to retro processes, figure out the blockers to hiring, communicate how these can be overcome and continually optimise the process to make sure it is globally scalable

• You'll partner with hiring teams and other People teams (e.g. People Operations), to support various initiatives (e.g. referral programs, talent mapping, salary benchmarking, etc)
