Salary : Up to $4250 [No comm, have incentive up to $500 per month based on company performance]

Job Summary

The Sales Engineers Position is the premier opportunity for you to learn consultative, solution-based sales. Sales professionals work in a highly professional and fast-paced office an average of two days a week, while three days a week they visit manufacturers in a sales territory so that they can consult face-to-face on solving customers’ critical quality control, reliability, and research or design applications. While company products are highly technical, you will receive the training to become an expert on our products, solving applications, following our pro-active sales process, and conducting successful sales consultations.

Job Scope

• Attend product and application training at Singapore office (Approximately 3 to 6 months). Training is paid.
• Develop a thorough understanding of company products and applications through classes, seminars, and on-the-job training.
• Provide technical consultation and service to customers to help solve their applications using products in a variety of industries, selecting and promoting the proper company products/services for their application.
• Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in adapting to company’s expectations and the challenges customers present you.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to customer requests.
• Secure new customers consistently and efficiently.
• Travel to customer locations three days per week and successfully sell products/services into a wide variety of manufacturing & related industries.
• Coordinate account strategy and contribute to territory’s strategic plan.
• Successfully implement new product-launch strategies.
• Deliver growth in market share within assigned sales territory.
• Coordinate off-site seminars and trade shows as needed.
• Manage day-to-day activities with little to no managerial supervision.
• Understand and observe company / department policies and procedures.
• Other duties or projects, as assigned

Requirement

• Preferably Degree in Business/Engineering related degree
• Willingness to travel 60% of the time, including the possibility of overnight travel.
• Preferred to have VALID Class 3 License.

Job Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Account Ownership

• Act as the primary operational point of contact for assigned key and strategic customers.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships through proactive and professional engagement.
• Develop deep understanding of customer business, applications, and buying behaviour to deliver tailored support.

Order, Quotation & Transaction Management

• Manage quotations, sales orders, and change requests, including complex and high-value transactions.
• Interpret and validate technical requirements such as part numbers, configurations, and specifications.
• Ensure accuracy, commercial alignment, and timely execution of all transactions.

End-to-End Fulfilment Ownership

• Own the full order lifecycle from enquiry through delivery and after-sales support.
• Proactively monitor order status, delivery commitments, and potential risks.
• Drive resolution of fulfilment issues to ensure customer expectations are met.
  

Cross-Functional Coordination & Escalation Management

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and other relevant teams to deliver seamless execution.
• Take ownership of escalations, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication to customers.
• Support customer meetings, reviews, and joint engagements where required.
  

Customer Insights, Continuous Improvement & Compliance

• Analyse customer data, trends, and buying patterns to generate insights and support account development.
• Identify and drive improvements in processes, service levels, and customer experience.
• Ensure adherence to pricing policies, internal controls, and data integrity across CRM and ERP systems.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in customer-facing roles, with Key Account management experience, within industrial, engineering, or technical environments.
• Strong customer orientation with excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft 365 business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Power BI), CRM systems (HubSpot preferred), SAP B1, and the ability to quickly learn business systems and other software platforms as required.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with Sales Department to promote Custom Solutions and processes system quotations.
• Liaises with customers to identify project specifications & documentation requirements and attend to technical & commercial clarifications. 
• Develops engineering documentation (e.g. Bill of Materials, Control Schematic, GA Drawings, Inspection Test Plan, Testing Procedures, etc…) as required by the project.
• Performs project material verification and raise material requisition to Services Coordinators for sourcing and procurement.
• Prepares and update project weekly progress reports. 
• To work with production team on project fabrication & assembly requirements and progress 
• Performs project in-house testing and Factory Acceptance Test. 
• Other duties and assignments as assigned from time to time.

Requirement

• Degree in Engineering. 
• Possess at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work well with people and be able to multi-task. 
• Customer oriented with good communication skills and in fluency in English. 
• Proficient in Drafting software (Autocad, Solidworks, etc.)
