Middleware Engineer

Job Summary

Our client is looking for a Middleware Engineer to support and develop Middleware usage for applications. Candidate would have the opportunity to leverage on automation and develop continuous delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Global production service operations support in middleware technologies and platforms.
• Accountable for the overall service reliability, availability and stability of the technical scopes.
• Provide technical expertise for managed workloads, including troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving incidents, problem, service request and change management process.
• Partner with other teams to understand requirements and technical specifications to participate in project deliverables activities.
• Drive through culture of continuous improvements for the production environment through automation or manual work and performance hygiene.
• Technical analysis of production platforms to identify and remediate performance issues.
• Work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.
• Engage in several DevOps disciplines, namely CI/CD, Continuous Test, Continuous Monitoring, and Continuous Compliance.
• Operation and further development of middleware platforms and the associated interfaces
• Development of self-service interfaces and their workflows.
• Exercise specialist responsibility in strategic projects and initiatives.

Qualifications and Profile

• Minimum Bachelors Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the following technical platforms:

• Operating Systems: Linux, Unix and/or Windows
• Middleware Technologies: Axway CFT, Secure Transport, Sentinel & IBM MQ
• Monitoring and Data analytics tools: OMI, ServiceNow, Geneos
• Scripting tools: Java, Unix Shell, Python, PowerShell, per

• Good understanding of ITIL Service Management framework such as Incident, Problem, and Change processes
• Experience in one or more of the following technical platforms:
• Dockers, Kubernetes, Ansible, Elastic Search, Rundeck, GIT

• Ability to work in shifts and support On-call in rotations.
• Customer oriented and a strong team player.
• Ability to work in a team and individually.

- Obtain immediate containment, root cause and corrective action(s) on defects discovered at incoming inspection / manufacturing floor.

- Work closely with Buyers and Vendors to close out defect cases

- Drive internal corrective action with immediate disposition for defects deemed responsibility.

- Drive continuous improvement throughout supply base to meet quality and corporate goals.

- Perform supplier assessments and audits as required by audit plans.

- Guide new vendors and enforcing requirements to meet world class Quality standards

- Provide presentation materials for the following meetings: Board of Directors, Quality, Supplier and Manufacturing.

- Hold Quality Performance Review with vendors

- Make MRB decisions and drive immediate actions by working with responsible engineers.

- Responsible for measuring and hiting all inspection metrics including incoming defect rate,

ship to stock rate, inspection backlog and SCAR metrics.

- Responsible for Quality performance to Goals 5S/Safety requirements.

- Responsible for departmental compliance to division’s ISO9000 Quality System and all associated procedures, including engineering drawings, assembly and test procedures, etc.

- Responsible for the assessment, development and execution of inspection schedules in accordance with company requirements

- Manage safety reporting for the department.

- Well versed in inspection techniques in order to perform first article inspections and production validation of piece part components and assemblies during source inspection

- Familiar with inspection equipment from vernier to complex CMM layout inspection to perform source inspection at vendor’s site where necessary

- Electrical / electromechanical experience preferred

- Experience in driving quality improvement for mechanical commodities such as machining, sheet metal, frames or consumables

- Experience in driving quality improvement for electrical commodities such as PCBA, box build, cable & harness

- Able to interpret complex mechanical & electrical drawings and geometric tolerancing

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Facilities Engineer to support and maintain critical infrastructure within a high-availability banking environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, security, and operational efficiency of the data centre.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain critical data centre infrastructure, including power systems (UPS, generators), HVAC, fire suppression, and structured cabling
• Coordinate with building landlords and vendors to ensure timely preventive maintenance and compliance with safety standards
• Respond to system alarms, troubleshoot issues, and drive prompt resolution
• Support after-hours activities, including on-call duties and emergency response
• Ensure adherence to data centre physical security policies and procedures
• Follow incident management processes, track issues to closure, and provide timely updates to stakeholders
• Prepare management reports including performance metrics, incident summaries, and root cause analysis
• Support ongoing operational improvements and infrastructure-related projects

Key Requirements
