The Role

The Process Technician supports Product and Process Engineers in daily production floor activities, including MES implementation, new line setup, equipment setup and maintenance, and process evaluations. The role involves preparing work instructions, verifying process standard times, supporting jig and fixture setup, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Product / Process Engineer for the following tasks:• Support daily engineering related activities in production floor.• MES implementation, execution and support.• New line setup. He / She must make sure the process flow chart, work instruction, process standard time, jigs and fixture and machine are readily prepared. • Perform setup / maintenance for the engineering equipment.• Perform engineering evaluation and report.• Equipment, Jig and Fixture Buyoff• Process Standard Time verification• Participate in Kaizen activities to achieve process improvement, cost reduction and yield improvement.• Perform any other duties assigned by engineers.

Skills & Experience

• At least 3 years working experience in an electrical / electronic related manufacturing.
• Experience in motion time study technique, work instruction preparation, jig and fixture setup and etc.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
• Having computer literate knowledge, especially Microsoft office application.
• Able to work independently, self-motivated, commitment, result oriented and a good team player.

Responsibilities:

• Performs set-up/changeovers, takes corrective action to eliminate production defects and reduce in-process losses with minimal support from superior.

The Role 

The Molding Mold Setter/Injection Molding Technician is responsible for executing the Equipment Quality Maintenance (EQM) plan, ensuring all molding tools, fixtures, equipment, and machines are properly set up, maintained, and operating at optimal efficiency. This role plays a key part in supporting smooth molding production, minimizing downtime, and ensuring high-quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in injection molding setup, machine maintenance, and troubleshooting, with a proactive attitude toward process improvement and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute EQM activities for all molding tools, fixtures, machines, and equipment.
• Plan and organize mold setup and production activities to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Ensure all molding machines and equipment are maintained at peak performance and availability.
• Attend to equipment or mold breakdowns and carry out professional repair work promptly.
• Liaise with the Production Supervisor to coordinate maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Report equipment breakdowns and spare part requirements daily to the superior.
• Propose and verify improvement plans for production tools, fixtures, and machines.
• Maintain and adjust machine parameters to ensure product quality and process stability.
• Perform layout and setup activities for new or modified molds.
• Provide backup support to other technicians when manpower is limited.

Job Scope :

• Conduct routine checks on chiller operations, including chilled and cooling water temperatures, and inspect all service line utilities (water, compressed air, and natural gas) for leakage. Any defects or problem must be reported immediately to the Supervisor / HOD.
• Check and record compressor operating parameters, including pressure, temperature, motor current (ampere), slide valve position, motor speed, oil level, and running hours.
• Carry out water analysis for town water samples, including town water, drinking water, cereal water, and DPRS water.
• Record water meter readings daily.
• Attend breakdown plant in case trip or power down.
• Handel ammonia chiller troubleshooting isolation valve check area leaking & fix leaking area.
• Measure and record water conductivity, pH, and ORP for cooling towers (SA, RM, Nescafe, and chilled water systems), and inspect and clean water filters.
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE when working with chillers, cooling towers, compressors, and ammonia or other work that requires PPE.
• Report any accidents or safety incidents immediately to the Supervisor / HOD.
