·       Drive vetting performance onboard assigned vessels. Work with Marine Assurance and senior ship staff to ensure vessels are always prepared and ready for vetting inspections. Ensure timely and accurate closure of any vetting findings thus maintaining vessel vetting status.

·       Working with ship staff, Fleet Support Officers,, and Financial Analysts to ensure that all legislative requirements and yearly maintenance are captured in the budget process, such that all budgetary timelines are met for both internal stakeholders and external customers, where applicable attend annual OPEX Budget meetings with customers.

·       Where appropriate and in accordance with individual customer requirements and at the direction of the Fleet Manager, represent the company at required annual performance meetings, customer interface meetings, JV partnership meetings and industry specific project forums.

·       As required by senior management, under take additional tasking out with normal job responsibility to support the needs of the business.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills &Abilities)

·       Maritime Certificate of Competency (Chief Engineer Unlimited) or relevant experience as Vessel Manager on gas carriers.

·       Sailing experience on gas carriers.

·       Demonstrates teamwork, interpersonal and communications skills.

·       Knowledge of technical operations for LNG vessels.

·       Knowledge of dual fuel propulsion plant onboard vessels managed.

·       Knowledge of cargo containment system, cargo handling equipment,  and safety systems on board gas carriers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend to work orders allocated by Maintenance Engineers.

• Analyse process parameters, alarms and information / drawings to diagnose and trouble shoot equipment problems.

• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure that plant equipment and auxiliary systems continue to operate smoothly and efficiently.

• Perform unit functional test for re-commissioning of overhaul units.

• Lead in the repair or replacement defective or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.

• Assess spare part requirements and raise purchases, record parts and materials used and review tender quotations.

• Coordinate logistic arrangement for all maintenance activities.

• Maintain a safe and orderly work area by practicing organised housekeeping.

• Preparation of weekly activity reports.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

• Nitec / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

• Preferably possesses 3 years' experience in Engineering or related field.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing, logistics, automation, or a high-volume operational environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in equipment implementation, process setup, commissioning, and optimisation.
• Proven track record in troubleshooting complex technical issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting NPI, process transfers, or new line implementation projects.
• Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
