Position Summary

Westcoast Precision is seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Planner to support production planning, material sourcing, vendor coordination, and job tracking across our manufacturing operations. This role will be responsible for sourcing raw materials and outside services, creating and maintaining engineering routers, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and tracking jobs from material release through completion to help ensure on-time delivery and smooth execution.

Key Responsibilities

Material Sourcing & Procurement

• Source raw materials, hardware, and outside processing services required for production jobs
• Request and compare supplier quotations for materials, machining support, plating, heat treat, anodize, and other outside services
• Place purchase orders and coordinate with approved vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
• Monitor supplier lead times, pricing, and performance, and escalate potential delays or issues as needed
• Work with internal teams to identify alternate sources when supply, quality, or lead time risks arise

Production Planning & Engineering Routers

• Create, review, and maintain engineering routers / job travelers for production jobs
• Ensure routers accurately reflect manufacturing sequence, outside processing requirements, inspection points, and special customer requirements
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, and operations to update routers when process changes or drawing revisions occur
• Support job release by ensuring routing, BOM, and material requirements are complete and aligned before production starts

Job Tracking & Execution Support

• Track the status of jobs throughout the manufacturing process, including material receipt, internal machining operations, outside processing, inspection, and final shipment
• Follow up with internal departments and external suppliers to keep jobs on schedule and identify risks to delivery commitments
• Maintain accurate status updates in ERP, planning trackers, or internal scheduling tools
• Proactively communicate delays, shortages, or bottlenecks to management and relevant stakeholders
• Help coordinate recovery plans for late jobs or urgent customer requirements

Vendor & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, outside processors, and service providers
• Meet with vendors as needed to review capabilities, lead times, quality concerns, and capacity
• Coordinate closely with US-based teams and stakeholders, including participation in meetings and communications that may require flexibility to support US time zones outside normal Malaysia business hours

Qualifications

• Experience in supply planning, production planning, purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working in precision machining, CNC manufacturing, semiconductor, aerospace, or other high-mix / low-volume manufacturing environments is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with raw material sourcing, outside processing, and vendor management
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, BOMs, routers, and manufacturing workflows
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple jobs, priorities, and supplier follow-ups simultaneously

ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep functional expertise in Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance (SCF) to lead requirements, solutioning and functional delivery on global product builds and bank implementations. The role sits at the intersection of banking business knowledge and software product engineering: eliciting and shaping requirements, translating complex trade and SCF business processes into product capabilities and configurations, and steering functional delivery from discovery through UAT and go-live. The ideal candidate has built and implemented global trade / SCF products within an IT product or services organisation, and can engage credibly with bank business heads, operations and technology teams alike.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Requirements & functional analysis — lead elicitation, analysis and documentation of business and functional requirements; produce BRDs/FRDs, user stories, process flows, use cases and data mappings for trade and SCF products.

• Domain solutioning — translate documentary trade, guarantees, supply chain finance, factoring, receivables/payables finance, risk participation and syndication processes into product capabilities, configurations and gaps/customisations.

Job Summary:

The person hired for this position, focus on Demand & Supply Planning, ensuring alignment between market demand, inventory levels and supply availability to support business operations. This position will be responsible for creating demand plan as well as managing supply operations.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Demand Forecasting: Gathering and applying market intelligence to the demand plan. Market intelligence may come from marketing, key accounts, and other possible sources including management of any intelligence received via EDI and system historical data.
• Managing demand planning exceptions related to unforeseen spike demand, forecast bias, exceptional month to date activities, etc.
• Leveraging forecast performance metrics tools, not limited to Power BI dashboard, to measure demand accuracy, assess the quality and frequency of overrides, assess forecast bias, as well as root cause analsyis of major forecast error.
• Participating in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process with focus on the alignment between the demand plan and the business plan (OP/QOR/MRE)
• Managing the demand & supply planning aspects of the product life cycle (new products, end of life, and phase-in / phase-out)
• Maximizing the effectiveness of the statistical forecast by adjusting/cleansing historical demand and determining appropriate levels of aggregation for future statistical forecast.
• Maintaining data integrity in the planning system by performing needed realignments and removing obsolete data
• Recommend optimal settings for forecast consumption parameters that govern the way in which the forecast is netted by sales orders
• Scope could include planning intercompany requirements from non-deployed countries (“Rest Of World” or “ROW” demand)

• Supply operations: reviewing current inventory level and assess for potential shortages leading to escalation.
• Supply replenishment operations including placing orders to needed plant and work with the manufacturing sites for expedites, and reallocation of inventory from other region to constraint area.
• Collaborating with cross-functional team members, not limited to, commercial team, warehouse and operations team, planning team and customer service team.  

Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Customer Service and/or Marketing
• Experience in Demand Planning and/or Supply Planning 
• Knowledge of Operational Planning, Production Planning (PP), and/or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes will be an advantage
• Analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools (Excel, Minitab, etc.)
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and self-motivational skills
• Experience working on cross-functional and international teams

• Experience in the following FMCG/Consumer products or Electronics/Manufacturing sectors may have additional advantage on its transition. 

Education:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the management of rooms inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue, as well as maintain accuracy of information and enhance automation efforts in reservation system.

• Assist in the preparation of competitive analysis and other supporting documents for presentation at market sales strategy meetings.
