Job Responsibilities

1) Managing Daily Purchasing Activities:

• Support site ordering based on project progress and requirements.
• Prepare purchase orders in accordance with SOP and ISO Quality Management System tasks.
• Resolve project orders, material, and machinery-related issues in collaboration with project teams.

2) Supplier Relations and Negotiation:

• Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and vendors.
• Negotiate prices, delivery timelines, and terms and conditions.
• Maintain a supplier database and records in alignment with SOP and Quality, Environment, Safety, and Health documentation.

3) Coordination and Collaboration:

• Coordinate with project personnel to identify and fulfill project-specific procurement needs.
• Collaborate with the Contract Department to request quotations for tendering and obtain necessary material details, quantities, and drawings.

4) Quality Assurance and Budget Management:

• Ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets related to purchasing activities.

5) Process Improvement and Compliance:

• Continuously work towards improving purchasing systems and processes.
• Implement policies, procedures, and instructions as required by the QESH management system.
• Develop and execute action plans based on risk and opportunity assessments in accordance with ISO standards.
• Promote the use of a process approach, risk-based thinking, and life cycle perspective within the organization.
• Ensure compliance with legal and other applicable requirements.

6) Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior.

Job requirements: -

• Minimum SPM/Diploma in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Able to source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors effectively.
• Knowledge of building materials and construction processes is an added advantage.
• Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and SQL System.
• Possess strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with a high level of integrity.
• Able to work independently and manage procurement activities efficiently.

Job Description:

• Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials from oversea vendors/suppliers
• Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure that they are in line with the enquiry
• In charge of operational purchasing needs such as planning and issuing Purchase Order
• Co-ordinate with Shipping Department to follow up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules
• Resolve any supply and quality issues with suppliers/vendors before shipment
• Co-ordinate Overseas Vendor Assessment (for New Vendor and Desktop research only) for Vendor approval purpose
• Evaluate supplier/vendor performance to ensure that they comply to ISO's PPI
• Review and recommend internal procurement process to improve the ISO system, whenever necessary
• To ensure that ISO9001, ISO14001 OHSAS 18001& AS9100 standard and procedure are carried out accordingly.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirement :

• Diploma  in any Engineering or Science discipline with at least 3 years working experiences in Procurement / Purchasing role.
• Technical background is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge in MRF processing, shipping term and incoterm
• Able to communicate effectively with all level
• Demonstrate a strong sense of initiative with ability to work independently and as a team with positive attitude

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Purchaser to support procurement and technical operations for a fleet of container vessels.

This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of spares, stores, and services, supporting vessel readiness, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities including sourcing, RFQs, vendor selection, and purchase order processing
• Coordinate delivery of spares, stores, and services to vessels globally in a timely and cost-efficient manner
• Liaise closely with vessels, superintendents, and operations teams on procurement requirements
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct price comparisons and negotiations to ensure value and quality
• Track and manage logistics arrangements (air/sea/land transport) for vessel supplies
• Verify invoices against quotations and ensure timely processing within credit terms
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, reports, and vessel expenses
• Support technical teams on dry docking, repairs, and off-land servicing coordination
• Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and maritime standards

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in marine procurement / ship management
• Familiarity with operations, Class/Flag requirements, and shipboard processes
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and global supply chain logistics
• Proficient in MS Office and procurement / fleet systems (e.g., Danaos or similar)
• Good negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
