Job Description
We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support daily procurement activities and ensure smooth purchasing operations. The successful candidate will assist in supplier sourcing, purchase order processing, inventory monitoring, and maintaining cost-effective purchasing practices to support overall business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in daily purchasing and procurement activities
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors regarding quotations, orders, pricing, and deliveries
- Process purchase orders and ensure timely follow-up with suppliers
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Monitor stock and inventory requirements
- Compare pricing and negotiate for cost-effective purchases
- Support administrative and operational purchasing functions
- Ensure smooth communication between internal departments and suppliers
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in purchasing or procurement
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia to deal with china suppliers and partner.
- Able to multitask and work independently with minimum supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in supplier sourcing and vendor coordination is an added advantage
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform sedentary office work, including extended periods of sitting
- Frequent use of computer, paperwork handling, and administrative coordination
- Occasional movement within the office or warehouse may be required to coordinate purchasing activities or verify goods
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment
