Responsibilities would include:

• Lead corporate development transactions (including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and investments) across businesses and regions
• Develop a high performing deal team with advanced financial modeling and transaction execution knowledge
• Build and develop relationships with business intermediaries, investment banks and other external advisors
• Act as an advisor to platform and business unit leaders in the evaluation of merger and acquisition transactions and make recommendations on the impact of decision to the company's objectives and performance
• Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals

Profile of ideal candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• 5-6 years of related work experience in investment banks, with 2 years acting as a team leader
• Strong experience with transaction execution that closed M&A credential is must
• Proven experience overseeing complex financial modelling, including providing guidance to junior team members and ensuring consistent quality and accuracy of analysis
• Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles
• Proactive attitude, mature communicator that experienced to discuss and partner with executives

Job Description:
1. Vessel Condition Review & Technical Audit

• condition Surveys: Conducting comprehensive inspections of the engine room, propulsion plant, and critical machinery to verify that the vessel is maintained to company and Class Standards.
• Defect & Maintenance Assessment: Reviewing the 'outstanding defect list' with the shi's Chief Engineer. You determine which repairs are critical, which can be deferred, and which require specialized shore-side contractors.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring the ship passess Port State Control (PSC) inspections and Class surveys without deficiencies. This includes verifying the accuracy of the Oil Record Book, garbage management, and emission compliance within Singapore waters.
• Technical Issues: Investigate and follow up on technical and machinery failures and accidents, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Technical Management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and docking of vessels, following approved budgets with internal and external stakeholders.

2. Fleet & Vessel Management:

• Technical Support: Acting as the primary shore-based technical contract. You provide guidance to the ship's crew, troubleshoot complex machinery issues remotely or during boarding, and assist with root-cause analysis for failure.
• Logistics & Procurement: Coordinating with Singapore-based ship chandlers and agents for the urgent delivery of spare parts, bunkers, and lubricants to meet tight turn-around schedules.
• Contractor Oversight: Managing third-party service engineers during dry-docking or alongside berths for specialized work (eg. navigational equipments, hydraulic systems, or engine overhauls).
• Reporting: Updating the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), analyzing maintenance budgets, and reporting fleet technical performance to management.
• Budget Management: Monitor and control the operational expenditure (OPEX) for vessel repairs and maintenance, explaining variances and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
• Performance Monitoring: Review various reports, including vessel maintenance and technical analyses, to assist in formulation long and short-term asset management strategies.
• Risk Management: Review and recommend improvements to the company's risk management practices and develop strategies for managing risk within the fleet operations.

3. Regulatory & External Relations

• Regulatory Monitoring: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as liaison between the shore-base team, shipboard staff, and external stakeholders like Flag Administrations.
• Emergency response: Serve as a member of Emergency Response Team when required.

Requirement:
1. Chief Engineer experience at least 5 years and above.
2. Required Chief Engineer certificate.
3. Bachelor degree certificate.
4. Vibrant and able to write and communicate effectively.

• Coach the team to raise their awareness in the commercial legal standards importance, and meet the minimum required strandards.

• Coach and support people for local & group audiences.

ABOUT YOU

Soft skills and requirements

• Bachelor's degree from top business or engineering schools (Master's degree or MBA preferred)
• Minimum of 8 years experience with 5+ years in the consulting industry and leadership role
• Strong knowledge in the one of the following fields: Pharmaceutical industry/Engineering/IT
• Fluent in English to liaise with different stakeholders in Europe and Asia
• Experience in doing business in Asia and managing large multicultural teams
• Experience with budget and business plan development
• In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. finance, Customer service, management, coaching etc.)
