The Staff Engineer, Process Development & Sustaining will lead the development, optimization, and sustaining of manufacturing processes for WD's HDD storage products. This is a technically deep, cross-functional role requiring strong foundation in chemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering.

You will drive process characterization, chemical/material qualification, and yield improvement initiatives while ensuring manufacturing processes remain stable, compliant, and cost-competitive. • Proper QA/QC documentation for all materials delivered to the factory, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instructions/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents.

  Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Any one of Welding Inspector (CWI, Certified by American Welding Society, AWS QC-1), or CSWIP 3.1 –TWI Certificate is required.

  • Familiar with local/international code and standard for welding procedures & specification.

  • Minimum 5 years of QA/QC inspection experience, preferably in the construction industry

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to lead QAQC team and provide supervision to all QAQC staff.

You will be responsible to provide an excellent and consistent level of service to your customers. The Technician is responsible to assist in the smooth and efficient running of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating departments.

Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and/or Building Management/Facilities Management

Minimum 2 years work experience as Technician/Tradesman in a hotel or a similar large building/complex with central plant

Must have knowledge and hands-on skills in, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Painting.

4 off days monthly, rest days depend on schedule. able to work long hours and late in evenings and weekends
