Job Objectives:
· Drive standardization, best practice adoption, and consistency to implement a sustainable platform to rollout to regional countries
· Take accountability to deliver the scope on-time, within budget with high quality. Exercise judgment, take initiative and make decisions.
· Deliver solutions that meet and exceed the functional, non-functional/technical, infrastructure and security requirements
· Lead and collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams including business analysts, technical teams, testing teams and other Host technical teams to design and deliver solutions
· Mentor and train technical team members with the potential to grow into Technical Leads
· Work effectively with the business users and with the internal IT and Security Teams to ensure efficiency of the solutions implemented to support the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Business Analyst, infra, deployment and vendor teams.
• Use and manage vendor augmented resources and ensure work assignments for high utilization and effective, quality outcomes while avoiding re-work
• Drive technical innovation to enhance functional and technical capabilities of the platform
• Build frameworks for configuration instead of code for each component
• Communicate with technical and non-technical resources and work with limited direction while being highly productive
• Apply standards and industry frameworks while leverage existing technologies and tools in the Bank
• Implement solutions considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.
• Produce detailed design /low level design documents that communicate the system design effectively
• Drive adherence to development, configuration management and deployment standards for solutions
• Analyse performance test, vulnerability assessments and any other test related issues that arise during projects
• Manage, address and resolve project-related technical issues in a timely fashion, ensuring necessary escalation and communication to stakeholders as necessary
• Select, train, develop and manage technical team members in a conducive team environment
• Lead multi-vendor teams to successfully deliver solutions
• Guide the project team in issue resolution to meet the requirements and timelines.
Key Requirements
Must have
- Degree with more than 10 years of current, hands on technical experience
- Solid understanding of:
o AIX O/S and/or RedHat platform and scripting skills
o Java and internet-related components (i.e: JSON, XML)
o iPlanet, WebSphere, WebLogic, Database, Sql
o DevOps suite of products (i.e: Jenkins, GitHub, Sonar, Aldon, etc)
o Connect Direct, SFTP, basic UNIX commands
o Performance tuning, optimization and automation
o Root cause analysis and production support
- Experience of complete software development lifecycles – waterfall and agile project experience
- Strong domain knowledge in Credit Origination business process and workflow
- Good understanding of banking and knowledge and application of banking technology and regulations/compliance
- Good understanding of data security, privacy, data protection, regulatory and compliance procedures
