IT Application Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Application Manager to lead application support, enhancements, and project delivery across a diverse enterprise application landscape. This role is responsible for ensuring high system availability, strong stakeholder engagement, and effective vendor management while driving continuous improvement across core business systems.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage the IT Application team in delivering application enhancements, operational support, and project initiatives.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to meet service standards, productivity targets, and technical competency.
• Promote cross-training and knowledge sharing to reduce key-person dependency across critical systems.

Application Management & Support

• Oversee end-to-end support for enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, CRM, HRMS, WMS), ensuring stability and performance.
• Ensure all application incidents, service requests, problems, and changes are properly managed within agreed SLAs.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and documentation to support operational excellence and risk mitigation.
• Manage user lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, access control, and governance.

Project Delivery & Enhancements

• Lead and support application-related projects including system rollouts, enhancements, and integrations.
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful delivery.
• Support system migration, testing, validation, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilisation (hypercare).

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Manage external vendors and partners to ensure timely issue resolution and quality delivery.
• Track vendor performance, resource utilisation, and escalate risks proactively.
• Communicate effectively with business stakeholders on system performance, risks, and project updates.

Technical & Integration Oversight

• Support and troubleshoot integrations including APIs and EDI interfaces.
• Interpret technical specifications (e.g. XML, JSON) and coordinate issue resolution across systems.
• Maintain working knowledge of all business applications and ensure team capability across systems.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive adoption of systems and standardisation of processes across business units.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, user experience, and operational efficiency.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, including low-code/no-code platforms, to enhance delivery.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant IT experience, including leadership in application support and delivery.
• Proven experience managing enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, HRMS, or WMS.
• Strong experience in vendor management, including offshore teams and service providers.
• Knowledge of API and EDI integrations, with hands-on exposure to tools such as Postman.
• Ability to understand and work with XML/JSON interface specifications.
• Experience in IT service management (ITSM) processes (incident, problem, change management).
• Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms is an advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to supply chain, demand planning, or operational systems.
• Experience in regional or multi-country system rollouts.
• Proven track record in driving system stability, uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong hands-on background in Microsoft 365 (M365) administration, cloud platform capabilities, and secure network infrastructure. Experience handling modern Koomi POS frameworks is an absolute gamechanger.
