What impact will you make in this role?

As a VP, SRE Engineer (Splunk), you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise observability and reliability solutions across infrastructure and application domains. You will leverage Splunk and complementary monitoring platforms to drive proactive alerting, automation, and resilience - ensuring operational stability, risk control, and compliance with financial regulatory standards.
You will define and implement advanced SRE frameworks, establish Site Reliability metrics (SLOs, SLIs, Error Budgets), and build automation pipelines that enhance system reliability, reduce Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR), and strengthen overall operational resilience across the organization.

What will you do as a VP, SRE Engineer (Splunk)?

Observability Engineering & Governance

• Architect and maintain enterprise SIEM solutions aligned with operational resilience mandates (e.g., MAS TRM, DORA, APRA CPS 230).
• Lead deployment, configuration, and optimization of Splunk for full-stack visibility across infrastructure, applications, networks, and user experience.
• Define and enforce telemetry data governance standards—metrics, logs, and traces—ensuring consistency, retention compliance, and security.
• Integrate Splunk with incident management, ITSM, and AIOps systems to enable predictive alerting and anomaly detection.
• Act as the SIEM/Splunk subject matter expert (SME) for architecture reviews, platform upgrades, and performance tuning.

Reliability Engineering & Automation

• Implement and champion SRE frameworks and reliability practices for mission-critical systems.
• Design and automate runbooks, alerts, and self-healing workflows using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Collaborate with Application, Infrastructure, and Cyber teams to embed reliability principles into the delivery lifecycle.
• Conduct resilience, chaos, and capacity testing aligned with business continuity and disaster recovery standards.
• Define and track error budgets, reliability scorecards, and service health indicators for production workloads.

Cloud & Platform Integration

• Engineer SIEM for cloud-native workloads in AWS and Azure, ensuring visibility across compute, storage, and network layers.
• Integrate Splunk and cloud observability tools into CI/CD pipelines and landing zones to ensure continuous compliance.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) models using Terraform and Ansible for consistent, auditable provisioning.
• Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, and Security teams to ensure telemetry aligns with audit, compliance, and operational risk requirements.

Operational Excellence & Collaboration 

• Drive reduction in incident recurrence, MTTR, and manual intervention through observability-led automation.
• Partner with Service Delivery, Cyber, and Application teams to enable predictive incident prevention and root cause transparency.
• Develop and maintain executive dashboards and reports showcasing availability, reliability KPIs, and operational risk indicators.
• Provide technical leadership during major incidents, post-incident reviews, and audits, ensuring lessons learned are codified into automation and process improvements.

What makes you a successful candidate?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, or SRE roles, with at least 5+ years specializing in SIEM/Splunk engineering or observability in financial or regulated environments.
• Proven hands-on expertise in:

• SIEM Platforms: Splunk (must), EL/Elastic

  Automation / IaC: Terraform, Ansible, Python, CI/CD tools

  Cloud Platforms: AWS (CloudWatch, X-Ray, CloudTrail), Azure (Monitor, Log Analytics, App Insights), Datadog, ServiceNow 

• Deep understanding of SRE principles, service health modelling, error budgets, and auto-remediation design.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to perform deep-dive investigations and develop long-term preventive solutions.
• Familiarity with financial sector operational resilience frameworks, regulatory compliance, and incident governance.

What will you do as a Data Business Analyst?

• Conduct requirement sessions with business users, analyze and design solutions holistically across the DSG’s offerings
• Work closely with various stakeholders such as business end-users, data vendors and data engineers to implement and support data solutions using best-of-breed technology and methodology while adhering to our data governance standards and data architecture principles

• Experienced with the Systems Development Life Cycle implementation methodology (SDLC) and/or agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban
• Competent in managing data warehouse, designing data models, and use of data management tools such as Oracle, Snowflake, Informatica, Denodo and data visualisation tools such as Tableau
• Knowledge of using formulas/macros in Excel or coding in Python is advantageous
• Good understanding of the principles, key controls and processes relating to data management

As a Technology Support Lead in Infrastructure Platforms, International Services, you will play a leadership role in ensuring operational and governance stability across Southeast Asia, with primary coverage of Thailand and the Philippines. You will own local governance processes, strengthen service management rigor, and ensure strong engagement with regional and global partners. You will bring solid technical breadth to understand issues, ask the right questions, and communicate clearly—without needing deep developer or architect specialization.

Job responsibilities

• Own local technology governance for Infrastructure Platforms International across Thailand and the Philippines, ensuring consistent execution of operational controls, governance routines, and management reporting aligned to local and global standards.

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives (strategic and run-the-business) to remove delivery friction and enable product and infrastructure teams to meet service outcomes.

• Align regional execution to global objectives, ensuring priorities, processes, and governance expectations are clearly understood and adopted across Southeast Asia locations in scope.

• Serve as a senior connector across teams—build strong working relationships with regional/global partners and leverage common processes and resources to deliver against targets.

• Partner closely with Audit, Risk, Cyber & Technology Controls, and Compliance to ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and JPMorganChase technology standards, including supporting regulatory responses and governance evidence needs.

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated experience proactively driving timely, self-initiated 360-degree stakeholder engagement to socialize key initiatives and align priorities, maintaining a consistent customer-first focus.

• Own stakeholder communications and escalation, providing clear updates, decision points, and remediation actions to business and technology leaders.

• Oversee core service management disciplines—incident, problem, and change management—ensuring high-quality execution, effective root-cause follow-through, and sustained risk reduction.

• Support the evolution of operating models in Southeast Asia locations in scope, ensuring a clear ownership and accountability model while maintaining appropriate governance and oversight.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technology field (or equivalent practical experience).

• 5+ years of experience in technology operations, service delivery, and/or governance in a complex enterprise environment, operating at a Vice President (or equivalent) level.

• Experience operating within regulated financial services environments, with exposure to Southeast Asia markets, including Thailand and/or the Philippines.

• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, aligning stakeholders and driving outcomes across multiple teams and priorities.

• Strong grounding in technology service management and controls (incident/problem/change practices, availability and stability, operational hygiene, risk and issue management).

• Executive-level communication skills: able to translate technical topics into clear narratives, actions, and decisions for senior stakeholders.

• Familiarity with hybrid technology environments (on-prem and public cloud) from an operational governance perspective.
