This initiative includes upgrading from version 3.1.42.48b to 3.1.6x.x, onboarding the EQA and OSP Excess modules, and implementing comprehensive reconciliation, testing automation, and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Understand requirements and prepare solution design document
• Participate in MLC configuration and development
• Help in implementing New and Amendment of risk formulae as per the business requirement.
• Create and Enhance LTS LRB Task
• Build/Maintain MLC Datamart Reports
• Scripting for EOD jobs
• Trade life cycle and workflow enhancement (where required)
• Prepare documentation of the changes
• Perform SIT and regression testing.
• Support user testing (UAT) phase
• Support release activities
• Support for post-deployment activities
• Lead the technical upgrade of Murex MLC components, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• 10+ years of experience in Credit Risk development
• Experience in Murex Credit Risk Development
• Experience in Simulation-based Reports and Risk Matrix-based reports, complex reports would be required
• Good exposure dynamic tables, pre and post filters, feeders, batch of feeders, extractions, reporting tables, and processing scripts
• SQL based reports and extractions
• Optimization of feeders and reports would be an advantage
• Ability to work proactively, independently when necessary, and display strong initiative.

The Company
Our client is a fast growing commodity trading and investment platform and aspart of their expansion, they are seeking a Group Financial Controller to oversee their Finance & Accounting as well as Trade Finance function.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a high‑impact role managing a lean finance and trade finance team, with end‑to‑end responsibility over financial control, reporting, trade finance, and fund‑related finance activities across trading, structured finance, and investment vehicles. You will have oversight of trading operations, trade finance execution, and investment governance, working closely with senior management, trading desks, and deal teams.

• Lead end‑to‑end finance and accounting across commodity trading, trade finance, and investment entities
• Implement and maintain robustfinancial controls over trading activities, including contracts, settlements,hedging, inventory, and mark‑to‑market reporting
• Monitor and analyse P&Lperformance of trading desks, pricing basis, exposures, and risk metrics
• Oversee trade finance operations,including covenant compliance, warehouse receipts, and funding utilisation
• Design and enhance group‑wideinternal controls, accounting policies, and finance governance frameworks
• Drive ERP / finance systemsimplementation and optimisation and improve reporting and data visibility
• Prepare management reports,dashboards, and board‑level packs for senior leadership
• Lead group consolidation andstatutory reporting under SFRS; manage audits, tax compliance, and externaladvisors across jurisdictions
• Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and intercompany funding across trading, GP, SPV, and fund structures
• Oversee fund finance and investment reporting, including NAV, IRR/TVPI, capital calls, distributions, carried interest, and fee structures
• Partner deal teams on investment structuring, SPV setup, waterfall models, and exit scenarios
• Manage, mentor, and develop a lean finance and trade finance team

Your Profile

• As the successful candidate, you will possess the following relevant skills sets and experience:
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, ora related discipline; professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA) preferred
• 8–12 years of relevant experiencein accounting and finance within a commodity trading environment
• Proven experience managing thefull spectrum of finance and accounting, including financial and managementreporting, internal controls and governance, treasury, cash flow, and funding, taxand statutory compliance and trade finance operations
• Prior Big 4 audit experience isadvantageous but not mandatory
• Exposure to private equity, venture capital, structured trade finance, or fund finance will be highly regarded
• Strong systems capability with advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI and ERP / accounting systems such as SAP B1, Microsoft Dynamics, Xero, NetSuite, or similar
• Demonstrated people management experience within lean or fast‑paced environments
• Strong commercial acumen, hands‑on mindset, and ability to partner effectively with trading and investment teams

Job Scope

• Credit Risk Officer is responsible for assessing the financial strength and creditworthiness of our institutional clients to ensure credit exposure is managed within the bank’s risk appetite.
• Involves close collaboration with the Institutional Banking Group and the Treasury Group, both in Singapore and in the Philippine Head Office, in evaluating business opportunities and ensuring compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintaining a sound credit portfolio contributes to the bank’s risk management strategy and to its overall success.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Assess the credit and financial strength of the firm’s corporate, financial sponsor and FI clients with focus on regional and multinational institutions
• Collaborate with the Institutional Banking Group to review loan transactions, determine appetite, and work towards timely approval
• Collaborate with the Treasury Group to review investment, funding and derivative transactions, and implement proper documentation, limits and mitigants
• Conduct timely credit evaluations for new and existing accounts
• Analyze financial data and assess creditworthiness
• Prepare credit reports and recommendations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies
• Monitor exposures at a counterparty, product and portfolio level, and manage risks proactively
• Research industries and maintain updated credit records
• Track financial benchmarks and early warning signals
• Support a strong credit and risk culture across the bank

SKILLS REQUIREMENT & EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3 years’ work experience in credit risk management with specific experience in assessing opportunities with institutional clients
• Significant experience in loan products; some experience in treasury funding products and derivatives is helpful
• Knowledge of lending agreements, ISDA and CSA, GMRA, and other relevant documentation
• Must demonstrate strong analytical, communication and organization skills, with proven experience in financial, credit and risk analysis, as well as negotiation, presentation and conflict management
• Bachelors degree relevant to the job, such as, but not limited to finance or business related courses
