Job Title: Technician
Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Access Control & CCTV Installation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of security systems, including CCTV surveillance, access control systems, structured cabling, and associated infrastructure. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various site environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, test, label, and document low-voltage cabling systems.
- Install and commission Access Control systems, including card readers, biometric readers, door controllers, electric locks, and related devices.
- Program and configure Access Control Panels and management software.
- Install and configure various CCTV camera types, including Analog and IP-based surveillance systems.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot DVRs, NVRs, and video management systems.
- Install cable pathway systems such as cable trays, cable racks, conduits, J-hooks, and D-rings.
- Perform cable testing and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct system testing, commissioning, and handover to clients.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation and connectivity issues.
- Maintain accurate installation records, cable labeling, and project documentation.
- Perform preventive maintenance and service calls for installed security systems.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to complete projects on schedule.
Requirements
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Experience in CCTV, Access Control, ELV, or Security System installations preferred.
- Knowledge of Analog CCTV, IP CCTV, DVR/NVR systems, and Access Control technologies.
- Familiarity with cable installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of networking and IP-based security systems is an advantage.
- Ability to read technical drawings and installation layouts.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver's license is an advantage.

- Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends as required.
- Ability to carry heavy equipment and materials.
- Ability to carry, set up, and safely climb ladders.
- Capable of working at heights and in various site environments.
- Physically fit and able to perform installation work
