Main Tasks

• Support the Technical Department in managing product certifications and related documentation (e.g. Green Label, SPAN, SIRIM, and third-party laboratory certifications).

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external laboratories on product testing, certification submissions, and follow up activities.

• Provide administrative support to the Technical Department, including raising Purchase Requisitions (PR), requesting quotations, preparing SGAN documentation, and maintaining records in SIP.

• Maintain and update technical documents, reports, and records to ensure proper documentation and compliance with company procedures.

• Assist the R&D team with laboratory activities such as product testing, sample preparation, and maintaining laboratory equipment and housekeeping standards.

• Ensure technical documentation and processes comply with relevant company standards and ISO requirements.

Responsibilities:

·       Develop product in accordance to food regulations, food safety standard and country standard policy

·       Participate in related R&D activities to create potentially profitable new products

·       Responsible for R&D Projects assigned and managing their progress to meet the targeted deadline

·       Formulation of recipes

·       Evaluate raw materials

·       Conduct shelf life stability study

·       Prepare reports and relevant documents as requested and compliance to ISO standard

·       Involved in product scale up and assist in product technology transfer

Qualifications:

-      Diploma / Bachelor in Food Technology or other Applied Science

-      Minimum 2 - 3 years of relevant working experience in Food industry, preferably in beverage industry and
involved retort process

-      Knowledge in HACCP, GMP, Halal and other food safety regulations will be an added advantage

-      Independent and able to work with minimal supervision

-      Team player within itiative and good communication skill

-      Pro-active in seeking solutions and problem solving skills

-      Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Job Description:

New Product Pricing

• Liaise and coordinate with Product team to provide actuarial support in product development process. It includes:

- advising on product design, developing and maintaining pricing model, ensuring accuracy and robustness in technical pricing

- proposing assumptions used in pricing

- using relevant pricing model to derive premium rates and access profitability, as well as highlighting key risks associated with the product;

• Ensure that the proposed premium rates are adequate and provide sufficient resilience against risks;

• Ensure that the assumptions used in pricing are consistent with internal guidelines /experience and pricing methodology is compliance with both regulatory and internal requirements;

• Comply with internal and regulatory filing requirements in relation to pricing

Product Implementation

• Liaise and coordinate with Product, Operation and IT teams to provide actuarial support to new product implementation, which includes operational set-up, system testing and policy documents review;

• Provide actuarial support in preparing policy illustration of life insurance products and ensuring that they are compliant with industry / regulatory requirement;

Reinsurance

• Participate in treaty review

• Reinsurance policy review

Other product related project

• Handle special quotations and other policy servicing queries.

• Handle and perform Day 2 system UAT

• Any other project/work assigned by the company

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree from a recognized university, major in Actuarial Science/Math/Statistics or a related discipline
• 1 year+ relevant actuarial experience
• Strong actuarial knowledge, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Engaging and open-minded working attitude with emphasis on being a good team player
• Meticulous for detail in risk assessment and profitability analysis
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Proficient in actuarial computing (VBA, SQL, R, Prophet)

Work Timing
• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 30min lunch break

• Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 30min lunch break

Roles & Responsibilities

a. Management of Resources

Conduct regular inventory management in the Science Laboratories, including stock-taking, replenishment, repairs, and replacement of equipment.

Assist the Head of Department (Science) in liaising with vendors on procurement matters related to laboratory inventory.

Ensure all resources in the Science Laboratories are well-organised and clearly labelled.

Support teachers in facilitating student discussions during laboratory sessions.

Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the Science Laboratories.

b. Preparation of Resources

Coordinate and manage loan requests from teachers for laboratory resources.

Prepare and set up laboratory materials in accordance with the scheme of work and teachers’ specifications.

Handle printing and photocopying tasks in the Printing Room.

Prepare teaching aids, including cutting and laminating materials, for use in the Science Laboratories.

Administrative Duties

Provide support for ad-hoc administrative tasks and assist in the preparation of resources as required by the school and/or department.

The Services required are set out as follows:

1. Assist in the preparation of teaching and learning resources.

2. Assist in the preparation of science experiment materials and

maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the science

laboratory.

3. Assist students in carrying out the science experiments under the

supervision of the Science teachers.

4. Provide administrative support to the teachers (e.g. preparation

of student’s achievement certificates and collation of students’

survey responses).

5. Manage the loan and return of teaching resources and prepare

documentation for the condemnation of teaching resources

where required.

6. Provide front-desk customer service, including handling walk-in

and telephone enquiries from parents as when required.

7. Assist with school printing duties as when required.

The Services required are set out as follows:

a. Management of resources

 Organise resources neatly with name labels in the Science Labs

 Preparing and set up of resources according to scheme of work

& specifications given by teachers in the Science Labs

 Printing and photocopying jobs in the Printing Room

Administrative duties:

Assist with other ad-hoc administrative duties and preparation of

resources for the Authority as required by the school and/or department.

Contract Period: From 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2027 with an option to extend the Contract for a further period of 1 year.

Working hours:
·     Mondays to Wednesdays only: 8:00am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 30mins lunch break
·     Service is not required on gazetted public holidays

Qualifications, skills and experience:

·       GCE N-Level Certificate with passes in English and Mathematics.

·       At least two (2) years of experience in providing teaching support.

·       At least two (2) years of experience in handling reception duties or equivalent administrative responsibilities.

Candidates with prior experience working in a local school environment will be preferred.

Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions/Results:

• To support APAC valuation tasks for Australia and Singapore as follows:

• Assist in internal US GAAP reporting, local statutory reporting (e.g. ALCO and ORSA), as well as annual reserve and expense study

  Assist in setting reserves for financial close, conduct claims and loss ratio detailed movement analysis and understanding of underlying key drivers

  Data preparation and assist in the development and maintenance of claims/actuarial database and analytic dashboards

  Provide support in optimizing and streamlining reserving processes. This includes proposing and implementing improvements while maintaining robust controls and proper documentation

  Participate in actuarial reserving projects such as IFRS17 and collaborate with other business functions in ad-hoc projects to implement key strategic initiatives

  Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Experience/Knowledge, Education and Other Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or related field of study
• Associate level or candidates actively pursuing actuarial qualifications from the Society of Actuaries, Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, or comparable actuarial bodies
• 1-3 years of relevant actuarial experience. Strong fresh graduates are welcome.
• Good knowledge and experience of valuation and reporting process
• Good understanding in health insurance, health claim process, healthcare systems, IFRS17 is a plus
• Good knowledge and strong interest in programming (e.g. Alteryx, AWS, ResQ, SQL and Tableau). Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Access, Powerpoint etc.)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
