• Generate accurate and timely reports, highlighting the performances and market and counterparty risks of PEAM total portfolio and various sub-portfolios;
• Ensure that critical risk issues are escalated, and resolved in a timely manner;
• Enhance and maintain risk models to accurately reflect the market risks, enabling proper monitoring of PEAM total portfolio and the various sub-portfolios, including conducting sensitivity analysis for existing investment activities;
• Enhance and maintain the infrastructure supporting the generation of various reports: performance and risk reports, including timely updates to senior management.
• Conduct Performance attribution analysis
• Monitor investment teams compliance of investment guidelines set in various (discretionary and non discretionary)mandates, ensuring appropriate steps are being taken by relevant team to address breaches, if any, as well as reporting these breaches to senior management on a timely basis.

Knowledge and skills required include:

• A good degree in IT, Engineering, Finance or related fields of study. FRM qualification and/or CFA is preferred
• Detail-oriented, possess initiative and comfortable with multi-tasking on multiple projects and research
• Driven, pro-active and keen to learn are important attributes
• Some programming skills (R/Python)
• Sound knowledge of financial instruments and good grasp of risk and performance-related concepts are required

In this role, you will work closely with the Management Team to support the growth, performance, and value creation of our portfolio companies, as well as execute fund-level operations. You may also be involved in the broader ecosystem-building efforts, including think-tank initiatives and industry events.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Monitor and analyse the financial performance and operational metrics of assigned portfolio companies. Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify market trends, risks and opportunities on specific portfolio companies. Provide insightful analysis and assist in regular reviews with the Management Team.

·       Work with the Management Team to assist the portfolio company leadership to implement growth initiatives, operational improvements and strategic value creation plans.

·       Support the preparation of portfolio reports for internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Limited Partners). 

·       Contribute to annual audit cycles, such as gathering of commercial and financial information from portfolio companies, the preparation of the fund/portfolio valuation analysis, and liaising with stakeholders such as the auditors and portfolio companies. 

·       Support the interaction with third-party service providers such as the fund administrator, corporate secretary, and other fund-related service providers.

·       Assist in managing aspects of the office such as policies and procedures, as well as coordination of meetings, events, and team-building activities. 

·       Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including investors, start-ups, and industry partners to enhance both portfolio impact and future deal flow.

Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university is required.

·       Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience in Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Management Consulting or Corporate Development, with exposure to portfolio management or post-deal value creation preferred.

·       Strong network and deep understanding of the Private Equity, Venture Capital and start-up ecosystem.

·       Critical-thinking, analytical rigor and sound decision-making capabilities.

·       Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in financial modelling, valuation techniques and scenario analysis.

·       Strong grasp of AI and associated math models and technologies is preferred.

·       Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

·       Detail-orientated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

REQUIREMENTS:

-         6 years’ post graduate programming experience on IBM mainframe z/OS and CICS operating environment using TSO, ISPF, COBOL forz/OS, CICS COBOL, JCL and other utilities.

-         6 years' post graduate hands-on programming experience using COBOL for z/OS and CICS COBOL in processing IBM VSAM and sequential files and able to maintain VSAM file structure.

-         6 years' post graduate working experience in preparing JCL for compilation, linkage and execution of COBOL for z/OS programs, Sort and other IBM Utilities.

-         6 years' post graduate hands-on programming experience using DB2/SQL in COBOL for z/OS and CICS COBOL programs.

-         Able to use ISPF Editor to write and maintain programs and JCLs;

-         Able to handle job compilation using JES2 and analyse compilation result using SDSF facilities;

-         Able to debug JCLs and programs written in COBOL for z/OS and CICS COBOL;

-         Able to use ISPF and JCLs and programs to prepare test data and test data sets;

-         Able to conduct unit, module, functional and volume tests; to analyse the test results and to take corrective actions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Programmers shall be required to:

-         Code, modify, test, correct and document new and existing programs using assigned languages, tools and coding conventions;

-         Code, modify, test, correct and document new and existing JCLs;

-         Analyse the program specification to produce all testing condition and produce test data based on identified test conditions;

-         Prepare JCL to load DB2 table or define VSAM files with the extracted test data for performing the various tests, eg stress test, regression test, performance test etc. When tested successfully, repeat the process for creating production DB2 & VSAM files;

-         Prepare and maintain program and system documentation;

-         Assist in establishing file structures and processing logic requirements;

-         Produce deliverables according to group standards and procedures;

-         Assist Project Leaders in the study and design of application systems and work coordination, project management and user training work;

-         Troubleshooting and supporting end-users in the implementation and maintenance of application systems;

-         Train other contract programmers in the relevant skills;

-         Participate in Disaster Recovery activities eg simulation exercises at Disaster Recovery

-         Learn / pick up new programming skills related to System Development and Maintenance as assigned by the supervisors; and/or

-         Any other tasks related to System Development and Maintenance as may be assigned by the supervisors.

REQUIREMENTS:

-         6 years' post graduate experience working with Personal computers or compatibles;

-         6 years' post graduate experience using MS OS such as Windows 11 or higher and Microsoft Outlook;

-         Able to conduct unit, module, functional and volume testing; to analyze test results and to take corrective action.

(i) Shall have at least 6 years’ post graduate experience in designing, programming, testing and maintaining a HCL Notes workflow system (containing forms, views, navigators, script libraries, pages, outlines, images & agents), which is workable in:

a) HCL Notes Client (version 12.xx and above)

b) Microsoft Edge/Web Browser (when deployed with a Web UI front)

(ii) Shall have at least 6 years’ post graduate experience, in designing, programming, testing and maintaining a HCL Notes workflow system, using the following programming languages:

a) LotusScript

b) JavaScript

c) Java

d) HTML / XML

e) HCL Notes @Formula

f) HCL Notes SimpleAction

(iii) Be experienced in the application and implementation of Replication, Security and ACL settings in HCL Notes applications.

(iv) Preferably have hands on experience on:

a)     Secure web coding to prevent HCL Domino web application vulnerabilities (e.g.

Cross-site scripting; Injection vulnerability flaws such as SQL injection, command injection; Race conditions; Improper error / exception handling etc)

b)    jQuery coding and knowledge

c)      the management of Web Service Providers/Consumers and Jars in a HCL Notes

application

d)    Establishing connections between different datastores/platforms for interfacing

(e.g. FTP, JDBC, REST API)
