Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide legal and administrative support to lawyers across a range of practice areas.
· Assist lawyers with preparing legal documentation (e.g., closing documents, officer's certificates etc.)
· Assist lawyers and the administrative team with administrative tasks, including filing, billing, AML checks and business development activities.
· Liaise directly with clients where necessary on AML documents, billing, meetings and matter-specific affairs.
Skills/Experience
· Degree in Legal Studies
· Strong academic record.
· Legal work experience preferable e.g. previous experience as a paralegal.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
· Excellent writing and drafting skills.
· Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills.
· Excellent attention to detail, listening skills and organisational skills.
· Ability to effectively manage own workload.
· Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and develop strong relationships both with clients and colleagues across the firm.
· Flexibility and ability to adapt in order to assist across a range of practice areas
· Personable and confident, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Resilient and calm under pressure.
