Job Summary

The Incumbent will support the Group's regional business development, strategic partnership, and project assessment initiatives, with a focus on banking, financial technology, and digital transformation opportunities. Working under the guidance of management and senior team members, the role will conduct research, business and operational analysis, market intelligence gathering, stakeholder coordination, and project assessment activities. The incumbent will assist in evaluating business opportunities, preparing analytical reports, and coordinating with Group companies, business partners, and prospective clients across the region to support the Group's strategic growth objectives.

The incumbent will work closely with and report regularly to the Japan Headquarters on regional initiatives and strategic opportunities. The role requires regular engagement with senior management, Group companies, and stakeholders across the Group's target markets, including Japan's banking and financial services sector, to facilitate information gathering, analysis, and collaboration in support of the Group's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the Group's regional business development and strategic initiatives through preliminary assessment of business opportunities, preparation of analytical findings, and coordination of evaluation activities in the banking, financial services, and financial technology sectors.
2. Engage with prospective clients, business partners, and Group companies to understand business objectives, operational needs, and collaboration opportunities.
3. Assist in conducting business process reviews, requirements-gathering sessions, and operational assessments to support feasibility evaluation of potential projects and partnerships.

9. Support the evaluation of solution proposals, proof-of-concept activities, technology assessments, and business cases conducted by Group companies and partners. Assist in the planning, development, and delivery of client presentations, solution positioning, and business pitches to prospective clients and strategic partners.
10. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support project assessment, partnership discussions, and business development initiatives.
11. Prepare research findings, management reports, and updates for Headquarters and senior management on business opportunities, project assessments, and stakeholder engagement activities.
12. Track and maintain records of ongoing opportunities, stakeholder engagements, and project evaluation activities for management reporting.
13. Undertake any other advisory, analytical, or coordination tasks as assigned by management to support the Group’s strategic objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in consulting, project management, application delivery support, business analysis, business development, banking technology, or financial services.
• Experience in core banking systems, digital banking platforms, lending systems, payment systems, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), or other financial technology solutions.
• Experience in business requirements gathering, business process analysis, solution assessment, and stakeholder management.

Ability to analyse, compare, and assess differences between Japan-market requirements and regional market requirements.
• Ability to bridge business and operational requirements between Headquarters, regional entities, and market stakeholders, including those in Japan, and provide recommendations that align with both Group objectives and local market needs.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support & Service Excellence

• Provide "above and beyond" IT support by resolving hardware, software, and system issues quickly and effectively.
• Act as the go-to contact for helpdesk assistance, covering areas such as:
• Setting up and configuring workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
• Managing home office setups and IT requirements for company events.
• Installing, updating, and troubleshooting applications and operating systems.
• Serve as the super user for business-critical applications, including Office 365/Copilot 365, Microsoft Azure, Intune, Entra ID, Windows, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Impero, etc.
• Ensure employees have a positive and seamless IT experience by providing professional, approachable, and solution-focused assistance.

IT Operations Management

• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions with full IT setup or deactivation.
• Handle procurement of hardware, software, and licenses, ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery.
• Monitor and improve system backups, data recovery, and security protocols.
• Conduct regular system health checks and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with vendors, external partners, and service providers for maintenance and upgrades.

Infrastructure & Continuous Improvement

• Assess existing IT infrastructure regularly to ensure scalability and alignment with the company's evolving needs.
• Identify opportunities for improvements in systems, processes, and employee experience.
• Contribute to IT projects, system upgrades, and implementation of new technologies.
• Ensure IT policies and procedures are up to date, aligned with best practices, and communicated across the organization.

Documentation & Governance

• Develop and maintain accurate IT documentation, including user guides, standard operating procedures, and technical manuals.
• Ensure proper record-keeping of assets, licenses, and IT inventory.
• Ensure compliance with IT security, data protection, and internal audit requirements.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a trusted link between IT, employees, and management, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on IT systems, tools, and best practices.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and digital adoption within the organization.

• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional certification.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in IT support with solid knowledge of Windows, Office365 / Copilot 365, Exchange, Azure, Intune and Entra ID.
• Proven experience in IT operations, troubleshooting, and user support across a wide range of systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare company level and Group level reports for monthly/quarterly reporting
• Analysis of company and group performance vs budgets or other comparatives, deep diving into key variances.
• Budgeting and forecasting of company and group level performance
• Consolidation of Group financials
• Preparation of HQ/Board materials and presentation slides
• Assisting in implementation of new software for reporting and budgeting, and maintenance/improvement of this ongoing
• Continued process improvements in reporting and budgeting
• Other ad-hoc duties assigned

Experience / Skills Required :

• Degree in Finance & Accountancy or ACCA equivalent
• Min 3 years relevant working experience in MNC or high volume environment
• Proficient in MS Office especially Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Table, Index match etc)
• Mature, organized, detailed, meticulous, high initiative with a positive and keen attitude to learn
• A team player with min supervision and the ability to multi-task under a lean workforce
• Good ability in implementation of new software and structure
