• Work closely with different business units to understand their needs and align IT initiatives with business and clinical objectives
• Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of major IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget

[Maintenance of mission-critical network and infrastructure systems] including:

• Perform on-site corrective maintenance within agreed timescale to restore normal service to users as quick as possible

Requirements:

• Minimum NITEC / Diploma / Degree in Information Technology or related field of studies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking an accomplished Assistant IT Manager to join us in Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in setting up, maintaining and enhancing the Resorts' IT systems. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operational stability and high service availability of our systems, for both guests and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with the IT Manager, the incumbent will set up and ensure that the Resort's IT systems, including our Hotel Management System, are updated based on the current release as guided by our corporate office.
• Manage any IT issues that may occur and pro-actively resolve them to minimize any downtime for guests and/or internal stakeholders. In performing this role, the Assistant IT Manager is to work with the IT Manager to recommend any improvements because of the occurrence.
• Assist the Resort’s guests with any system or technical-related matters. The incumbent would need to liaise with the Front-of-House team to respond to any guest-related IT requests.
• Ensure that our systems are protected by the necessary security procedures and protocols, including the timely revision of user access right and passwords for both the PMS and PC Network systems.
• Provide regular management reports and document all system activities (e.g. Maintenance Logs, Data Change Logs)
• Ensure the accuracy and computer audit trail of daily and monthly financial reports.

Job Requirements

• Possess a degree, diploma or equivalent professional qualification in Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 4 to 6 years of relevant IT experience, in a similar capacity. Proven track record in a similar property. Prior experience as part of a pre-opening team for a Resort will be an advantage.

• Evaluate, source, and integrate emerging and leading technologies to drive measurable business value.

Technical Leadership & Platform Management

• Provide strong technical leadership in solution design, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Oversee secondary support for digital platforms, including regular BI operations, enhancements, and solution deployments.
• Apply functional expertise across BI, RPA, PowerApps, and e-commerce solution frameworks to deliver optimized outcomes.

Stakeholder & Resource Management

• Manage third-party vendors and offshore teams to ensure effective application development and support services.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language to drive alignment and informed decision-making.
• Support IT commercial governance activities, including PR/PO management, budget tracking, and consolidated reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of proven experience in solution delivery or technology management, with a strong track record in executing digital initiatives.
• Solid technical and functional expertise in BI, RPA, PowerApps, and e-commerce solution frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors and offshore teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language and build consensus.
