The Data Platform team at Grab is a collective of software engineers, product managers, product designers, software engineers, and technical program managers, part of the larger Tech Infrastructure organization and focused on enhancing the productivity, development velocity, and efficiency for fellow internal Grabbers, serving millions of users daily. These platforms encompass Experimentation, Data Discovery and Catalog layers, Metrics Engine, Customer Data Platform, Streaming Platforms, and Machine Learning Platform. Our mission is to build and maintain a suite of tools and platforms that enable Grabbers to work smarter, faster, and more collaboratively.
Get to Know the Role
We're looking for a Lead Product Manager to join our Technical Infrastructure team, specifically focusing on Data Platform. In this role, you'll collaborate with engineering, data science, analytics, and product teams to pinpoint areas for improvement and develop impactful solutions. The Data Platform team empowers the underlying platform and infrastructure that supports all data applications in Grab, including data ingestion, data storage, data discovery, data query, data quality, and data activation. You'll work with cross-functional leaders across the company to drive organization-wide changes.
You will report to the Head of Product, Data Tech and AI, and base onsite at our Petaling Jaya office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Define and execute the product strategy for the Data Platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and develop tailored solutions.
- Gather requirements, conduct user research, and prioritise the product backlog ensuring the team focuses on high-impact projects.
- Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders and deeply understand their needs and challenges.
- Drive the adoption and onboarding of internal tools and Data Platform, ensuring user engagement and success.
- Oversee product launches and go-to-market activities for internal tools and data platforms.
- Communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring the team's work is well-understood and well-supported.
