About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer Consultant to support enterprise data transformation initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing data pipelines, enabling scalable data solutions, and supporting analytics and reporting needs across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess data engineering deliverables, including data pipelines, data models, architecture designs, and technical documentation.
• Provide independent technical validation and recommendations to ensure alignment with business and technology objectives.
• Ensure data solutions comply with governance, security, scalability, and performance standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery partners to resolve technical issues and implementation challenges.
• Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement across data platforms and processes.
• Support project governance, acceptance reviews, and technical sign-off activities.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in Strong experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Data Platform delivery.
• Hands-on knowledge of Databricks/Fabric, Azure Data Platform, Python (PySpark), and SQL.
• Experience reviewing solution designs, data models, and enterprise-scale data pipelines.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and cloud architecture best practices.
• Ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Prior experience working with consulting firms, system integrators, or large transformation programmes is highly preferred.

Primary Purpose 

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible to develop software based on design requirements and ensure software and subroutines are working to specification, program codes have conformed to standards and are delivered with quality meeting schedule and requirements. 

What will you do:

Project Delivery 

• Analyse process/program specifications & translate specifications to program codes, conforming to program guidelines and programming best practices 
• Make changes to configurable items, which include hardware, software, documentation, etc. It covers configuration management planning, configuration identification, configuration controls & audits 
• Develop unit test package, execute tests & document test results to ensure the quality of the program 
• Assist in the integration testing, system testing, User Acceptance Test ( UAT) & implementation activities to fix the reported problems/bugs of the system to ensure the smooth execution of programs in the production environment 
• Investigate all reported problems/errors & initiate amendments & testing so that the system can operate correctly & efficiently 
• Prepare & maintain up-to-date system documentation. 
• Analyse functional requirements to translate into application design using established design methodologies and guidelines 
• Ensure codes comply with NCS security guidelines 

Team Work 

• Work with team lead to ensure design and programme codes conform to architecture and design standards, and that design satisfies functional and system requirements 
• Participate in requirements gathering; work with Business Analysts in reviewing and refining functional specifications 
• Participate in peer reviews to improve project quality 

The ideal candidate should possess: 

• Typically  5-7  years’ experience with substantial project work in software development 
• Experience in Peoplesoft Financial. 
• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management of Information Systems or equivalent 
• Possess initiative and disposition with a strong commitment and orientation towards results and high quality standards 
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to think out of the box 
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills 
• Self-motivator with a positive attitude and with high energy

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and validate software, firmware, tools applications, and/or specialized utility and test programs.

· Design software architectures that interoperate with standard interfaces and open systems.

· Engage in all phases of software development – design, coding, unit testing, debugging, integration and release – while meeting key specifications and schedules.

· Participate in code/design reviews, triage, issue resolution to improve product reliability.

· Analyse customer needs and system requirements to design and customize software for optimal performance, scalability and interoperability.

· Provide guidance on technical software design, feasibility with effective documentation.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Science, Computer Science or related field.

· Strong understanding of embedded systems fundamentals and computer architecture.

· 8+ years of working experience in embedded systems development, software architecture.

· Proficiency in C/C++ and bash scripting, with familiarity in at least one of the following:

o Python, C#, .NET, WPF, WinForms.

· Experience in development for and testing on Linux / embedded Linux platforms.

· Expert proficiency with system debug and analysis tools.

· Possess good working knowledge of network and communication protocols. e.g., I2C, SPI, MDIO, GPIO, UART, TCP/IP, ETH, Wi-Fi, etc.

· Independent, self-starter with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Familiarity with software life cycle development processes and secure coding principles.

Preferred:

· Experience in C# GUI app development, tools development incorporating UI/UX.

· Experience in automation testing and CI/CD tool integration to enhance workflow efficiency.

· Experience in usage and deployment of emulation platforms for development and debug.

· Working knowledge of automotive networking and communication technologies.
