We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of in-house and cloud-based network services.

• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN)
• Configure and install network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points

As part of the Trader Voice Support Team within the BT Trader Voice Operations Centre (TVOC), this is an exciting opportunity to work within the area of Financial Trading. The role includes diagnosing and resolving customer issues specific to the BT Trading Platform and working on BT Trading projects such as new installations and complex upgrades.

Job Description:

• Providing best in class support to our BT Trading and Command customers via the Zendesk ticketing application. Always ready to follow-up with a swift telephone call to understand the incident and collect the logs required.
• When required, acting as a Project resource for installations and complex upgrades. Work may be conducted onsite or remotely, depending on customer requirements.
• Supports incident management, prioritisation and diagnostics related activities, logically troubleshoots customer issues or incidents, and escalates issues if necessary.
• Encourages a healthy and professional relationship with suppliers and senior internal stakeholders, ensures excellence customers engagement.
• Contributes to the maintenance of IT Infrastructure components, tools or locations and executes the designs on services (e.g. network, security, storage, compute), which are to be produced in line with design standards.
• Ensures that services are aligned to the client’s business requirements and ensures adherence to all standards, processes, policies, and work instructions as determined across the BT Group.

Job Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), TDM protocols, particularly E1/T1.
• Working knowledge of Session Border Controllers (SBC), Voice Recording, Cloud technologies.
• Working unsupervised and working as part of a large team, adaptability is key.
• Experience of working on the BT Trading platform – TSS and Tradesense specifically.
• Previous experience of working on BT Trading and Command projects.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, AudioCodes Syslog Viewer, BT Trading Syslogs and Debugs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Support fleet operations by managing technical procurement for gas vessels (spares, services, consumables)

• Coordinate with Technical Superintendents on Class, Flag, surveys, repairs, and dry-docking requirements

• Issue and manage Purchase Orders, quotations, deliveries, and invoice closure

• Liaise with vessels, suppliers, contractors, and agents worldwide

• Support dry-docking preparation, vendor sourcing, and cost comparison

• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company procedures

• Follow up on urgent and off-hire items to ensure operational readiness

What we’re looking for:

• Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain, or related discipline

• 1–5 years of experience in technical procurement / technical services within gas or tanker shipping

• Working knowledge of Class & Flag requirements, shipboard spares, and logistics coordination

• Strong coordination, communication, and organisational skills

• Proficient in MS Office and ship management / procurement systems

Our Listed Derivatives data team is seeking a Data Engineer to help us drive the data set forward. The team provides our users with complete and accurate, normalized security listings and reference data for tens of millions of securities across more than 100 Derivatives exchanges globally. What’s the role?

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for finance, data, and technology to increase value from our data product. In this role you will be responsible for developing strategies to optimize the value of Derivatives data for our clients and improve data operations. You will be a technical leader in the distributed team, solving problems with technical skills and devising solutions for data challenges. You will set strategy for quality enhancements of Derivatives reference data and work closely with various partners to integrate our solution into the wider architecture. You will join a distributed team of dedicated individuals and experts where your interests and passion will have a significant impact on the team’s success.

We’ll trust you to:

• Build and maintain robust and scalable ETL data pipelines to support the ingestion, transformation, and loading of vast amounts of data from various sources using Bloomberg tech stack components such as Bloomberg Data Services, Dataflow recipes and Data Technologies Pipelines or equivalent tech stack such as Amazon S3, Microservices, SQL, Python Pandas
• Devise data quality strategies across various data workflows and oversee its governance
• Devise and implement data acquisition strategies for data fields from diverse and disparate, structured and unstructured sources
• Set up business rules and visualization to measure and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of derivatives data using Bloomberg tech stack components such as business rule engines and QlikSense
• Design producer database structures optimized for our specific use cases
• Analyze internal processes to find opportunities for improvement and process engineer efficient and innovative workflows using programmatic machine learning approaches
• Use your deep understanding of listed derivatives markets and data, including trading and analytics workflows, to create comprehensive and transparent solutions that fits the use case of our internal and external clients
• Understand clients' and markets' needs on each derivative data field to extract and maintain it
• Collaborate with partners in creating data manipulation frameworks and establishing standard methodologies using Bloomberg's tech stack
• Apply your proven project management skills to ensure all technical projects are on track with right requirements
• Be responsive, resourceful, flexible and an excellent collaborator - Partner with our Product, Technology and Data Management Lab team to ensure consistent principles are leveraged, tools are fit for purpose, and results will be measurable

You'll need to have:

• 3+ years of Python programming experience in a production environment
• 3+ years of experience in data management and experience in building ETL pipelines
• Proven financials markets experience with a broad understanding of global markets
• A bachelor of arts/bachelors of science degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or relevant data technology field, or degree-equivalent qualifications
• Experience related to ingesting and normalizing exchange disseminated derivatives data
• Proficient in using Tech Stack such as Amazon S3, Python Microservices or Bloomberg Tech Stack in production environment
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, numerical proficiency and high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as in a distributed team environment
