Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer with experience in cloud-based application development and exposure to AI technologies. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, cloud-native solutions while contributing to modern AI-driven systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and adherence to best practices in software engineering.
Key Responsibilities

1. Software Development & AI Implementation

• Design and develop scalable, resilient, and high-performance cloud-native applications.
• Integrate AI capabilities into applications using machine learning models, APIs, and cloud AI services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture reviews.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development standards, tools, and processes.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and architecture decision records.

2. Cloud Development & Deployment

• Build and deploy applications leveraging cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop microservices-based, containerised, and serverless applications.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability in cloud environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in software development, preferably with exposure to cloud-based systems.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript, or Golang.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience in API design and development (RESTful services).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).

Responsibilities

• Build workflow and approval management system with automated routing, officer dashboards, notifications, and approval hierarchies with digital authentication

• Integrate with market data providers (Pitch Book, Tracxn) to aggregate and analyse FinTech investment data and company profiles

• Leading the technical development and operational support of the PathFin.ai digital platform
• Implementing new features including automated content curation, AI-enabled knowledge matching, and roadmap generation tools
• Developing and maintaining the three core modules: Content Management, Community Engagement System, and Reporting & Analytics
•  Building API integrations with market data providers for AI adoption intelligence and trend analysis
• Ensuring platform stability, security, and optimal performance for all Programme participants
• Maintaining technical documentation, conducting system testing, and providing ongoing Platform maintenance and support
• Developing automated presentation generation capabilities for stakeholder engagement and policy development

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience leading projects or owning systems
• Lead the development of the platform (main system owner)

Key Responsibilities

• Code, modify, test, correct and document new and existing programs using assigned languages, tools and coding conventions;
• Code, modify, test, correct and document new and existing JCLs;
• Analyse the program specification to produce all testing condition and produce test data based on identified test conditions;
• Prepare JCL to load DB2 table or define VSAM files with the extracted test data for performing the various tests, eg stress test, regression test, performance test etc. When tested successfully, repeat the process for creating production DB2 & VSAM files;
• Prepare and maintain program and system documentation;
• Assist in establishing file structures and processing logic requirements;
• Produce deliverables according to group standards and procedures;
• Assist Project Leaders in the study and design of application systems and work coordination, project management and user training work;

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree In Information Technology
• Have at least three (3) years' post graduate programming experience on IBM mainframe z/OS and CICS operating environment using TSO, ISPF, COBOL for z/OS, CICS COBOL, JCL and other utilities.
• Have at least three (3) years' post graduate hands-on programming experience using COBOL for z/OS and CICS COBOL in processing IBM VSAM and sequential files and able to maintain VSAM file structure.
• Have at least three (3) years' post graduate working experience in preparing JCL for compilation, linkage and execution of COBOL for z/OS programs, Sort and other IBM Utilities. The 3 years’ working experience must be within the past 3 years timeframe;
• Have at least three (3) years' post graduate hands-on programming experience using DB2/SQL in COBOL for z/OS and CICS COBOL programs.
