Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise applications. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology teams to deliver quality solutions and support project implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain application solutions based on business requirements
• Perform unit testing and support SIT, UAT, and production deployment activities
• Prepare implementation plans and provide post-implementation support
• Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks with quality outcomes
• Maintain project documentation in accordance with established standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support project and system enhancement initiatives
• Escalate project risks and issues, and recommend appropriate solutions

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 6 years of application development experience
• Strong knowledge of COBOL and AS400 / OS400
• Experience with SQL and system support activities
• Knowledge of RPG, Java, Linux, or related technologies will be an advantage
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

REQUIREMENTS:

-         6 years' post graduate experience working with Personal computers or compatibles;

-         6 years' post graduate experience using MS OS such as Windows 11 or higher and Microsoft Outlook;

-         Able to conduct unit, module, functional and volume testing; to analyze test results and to take corrective action.

a) Minimum 6 years of experience in low-code/no-code development and deploying solutions, specifically with Microsoft Power Platform.

b) Microsoft Power Platform certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

c) Proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.

d) Familiarity with SharePoint Lists and Document Libraries integration.

e) Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

f) Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in spoken and written English.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

i. Building and maintaining applications using low-code/no-code platforms, such as Microsoft Power Platform(Power Apps, Power Automate).

ii. Design, develop, implement, and maintain business process flows, approval workflows, data connectors, and recommend improvements.

iii. Customizing workflows, dashboards, forms, views, and reports using low-code/no-code (LCNC) development tools that also includes Open Government Products (OGP) suite of LCNC tools, such as FormSG, Plumber (for automating workflows), Postman.

iv. Leveraging RPA tools such as Power Automate to create business process flows, automate workflows, and integrate with SharePoint Lists, Dataverse, Teams, and other data repositories.

v. Collaborating with product owners, users, and stakeholders to understand business requirements, recommend solutions, and implement optimized solutions.

vi. Conducting end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and providing end-user application support.

vii. Design and create database models.

viii. Maintaining documentation for functional specifications, solution designs, and code according to best practices.

ix. Provide user training and post-deployment support.

x. Regular check in with other team members on sharing of Power Platform development and best practices.

xi. Taking on additional responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

-         6 years' post graduate experience working with Personal computers or compatibles;

-         6 years' post graduate experience using MS OS such as Windows 11 or higher and Microsoft Outlook;

-         Able to conduct unit, module, functional and volume testing; to analyze test results and to take corrective action.

(i) Shall have at least 6 years’ post graduate experience in designing, programming, testing and maintaining a HCL Notes workflow system (containing forms, views, navigators, script libraries, pages, outlines, images & agents), which is workable in:

a) HCL Notes Client (version 12.xx and above)

b) Microsoft Edge/Web Browser (when deployed with a Web UI front)

(ii) Shall have at least 6 years’ post graduate experience, in designing, programming, testing and maintaining a HCL Notes workflow system, using the following programming languages:

a) LotusScript

b) JavaScript

c) Java

d) HTML / XML

e) HCL Notes @Formula

f) HCL Notes SimpleAction

(iii) Be experienced in the application and implementation of Replication, Security and ACL settings in HCL Notes applications.

(iv) Preferably have hands on experience on:

a)     Secure web coding to prevent HCL Domino web application vulnerabilities (e.g.

Cross-site scripting; Injection vulnerability flaws such as SQL injection, command injection; Race conditions; Improper error / exception handling etc)

b)    jQuery coding and knowledge

c)      the management of Web Service Providers/Consumers and Jars in a HCL Notes

application

d)    Establishing connections between different datastores/platforms for interfacing

(e.g. FTP, JDBC, REST API)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Programmers shall be required to:

i. Code, modify, test, correct and document new and existing programs using assigned languages, tools and coding conventions;

ii. Prepare and document test data;

iii. Prepare and set up testing and production environment;

iv. Prepare and maintain program and system documentation;

v. Assist in establishing file structures and processing logic requirements;

vi. Produce deliverables according to group standards and procedures;

vii. Assist Project Leaders in the study and design of application systems and work coordination, project management and user training work;

viii. Troubleshooting and supporting end-users in the implementation and maintenance of application systems;

ix. Train other contract programmers in the relevant skills;

x. Participate in Disaster Recovery activities eg simulation exercise at Disaster Recovery sites;

xi. Learn / pick up new programming skills related to System Development and Maintenance as assigned by the supervisors;

xii. Any other tasks related to System Development and Maintenance as assigned by the supervisors.

REQUIREMENTS:

c) Experience in Tableau, R, SAS or Python programming language will be advantageous

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Manage and Support of Domino Servers

i. Support and troubleshoot mail and server issues, such as mail routing, mail agents and other mail server related issues;

ii. Support users’ requests for creation of databases, replications, messaging (mail, SMS, Page) requests; and other similar Domino’s service requests;

iii. Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of the Domino servers to ensure availability of the services to users;

iv. Assist in the evaluation of new products and technologies to enhance or improve the integrated office systems infrastructure;

v. Assist in the provisions of statistics on Domino servers availability and other server related statistics and update of mail virus pattern files

vi. Coordinate with Project Teams in the analysis, presentation and management of IT operations date and statistics

B. Manage and Support of SharePoint Infrastructure (Preferably)

i. Setup and customise of several SharePoint Farm comprising of Webfront, Application and SQL servers;

ii. Support and troubleshoot of SharePoint Farm issues;

iii. Provision and support of users’ requests for creation of new web applications, site collections and related day-day SharePoint service requests;

iv. Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of the SharePoint farm servers to ensure availability of the services to users;

v. Assist in the risk management evaluation of new SharePoint version for future SharePoint upgrade plans;

vi. Assist in the provisions of statistics on SharePoint servers’ availability

vii. Coordinate with Project Teams in the analysis, presentation and management of IT operations date and statistics

C. Manage and Support of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) (Preferably)

i. Setup and customise VDI clients running on VMWare’s environment;

ii. Support and troubleshoot of VMWare Horizon View Connection Server and VDI clients’ issues;

iii. Provision and support of users’ requests for creation of new VDI clients’ requests;

iv. Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of the VDI environment to ensure availability of the services to users

REQUIREMENTS:

-         6 years' post graduate experience working with Personal computers or compatibles;

-         6 years' post graduate experience using MS OS such as Windows 11 or higher and Microsoft Outlook;

-         Able to conduct unit, module, functional and volume testing; to analyze test results and to take corrective action.

-         Must also have 6years experience in using the following software:

– Quadient Inspire Designer, HP Exstream or equivalent

RESPONSIBILITIES:

i. Code document templates;

ii. Define input data from repositories;

iii. Map data fields in input files to fields defined in the template;

iv. Define output requirements using the functions in the software;

v. Define workflow and processing logic using standard functions in the software to generate and route the required output.

REQUIREMENTS:
