We are seeking a qualified Network Automation Engineerwith at least 5 years of hands‑on experience in enterprise networking, networkautomation, and SDN technologies. The ideal candidate will design, develop,validate, and maintain automation solutions that adhere to industry bestpractices—spanning Cisco NX‑OS/Catalyst platforms.

This role requires expertise in automation frameworks,scripting, network provisioning, troubleshooting workflows, and NX‑OS/Catalystoperational tooling.

Key Responsibilities

Network Automation &Development

• Design, build, and maintain network automation frameworks to streamline provisioning, configuration, compliance, and lifecycle operations.
• Develop automation using Python, Ansible, REST/NETCONF/NMI APIs, and YAML.
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code using:
• Ansible Tower / AWX
• GitLab repositories
• Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

CyberArk Vault for secure credential and secrets handling.

• Establish coding standards, documentation practices, and reusable automation modules.

Architecture, Governance & Best Practices

• Translate business requirements into scalable network automation architecture.
• Define automation governance, templates, naming standards, and deployment guidelines.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce security, compliance, and audit rules.
• Recommend enhancements and assess emerging technologies.

Experience in the following Network automation:

NX‑OS & Catalyst Deployment

• Provision devices using provided templates:
• Interfaces, VLANs, IPs, hardening constructs
• HSRP, LACP port‑channels
• ACLs
• Static & dynamic routing (OSPF/BGP)
• Perform automated validation and compliance checks.

Network Health Monitoring, Logs & Troubleshooting

• Automated health checks (fabric topology, devicestatus, endpoint connectivity).
• Fault detection & remediation for NX-OS/Catalyst
• Collect diagnostic logs & performance data for RCA.
• Automate network devices backup with version control.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of enterprise networking & automation experience.
• Proficiency with:
• Ansible, YAML, Python
• Ansible Tower / AWX
• GitLab version control
• Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• CyberArk Vault
• Deep expertise in:

• Cisco NX‑OS, Cisco Catalyst

  Layer 2/3 technologies including OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, EVPN, STP, HSRP, LACP, ACLs

• APIs (REST, NETCONF, gNMI), YANG models
• Hands-on in automation validation and test-driven deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco CCNP, CCIE Professional
• Red Hat Ansible Tower / Terraform Certified (optional)
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure) (optional)

Soft Skills

Responsibilities:

•           Provide Level 2/3 IT network security operations support

•           Respond to incident calls and ensure the SLA to our clients is met

•           Perform changes to the network in-line with the organization’s ChangeManagement processes

•           Ensure compliance to policies, processes and standards, both internal andclients’ organization

•           Prepare network analysis reports, including findings with analysis

•           Participate in regular operations review meetings, including operationalissues, tickets review etc

•           Participate in projects/activities to support improvement initiatives

•           Conduct proper handover from the project team to operations after commissioningof projects.

•           Conduct internal training and/or knowledge transfer to team.

•           Update operations documentation (technical, CMDB, etc).

Requirements:

•            Atleast 5 years of experience providing network operational and administrationsupporting Cisco products (Routers / Switches/WLAN)

•           Diploma or Degree in Engineering, IT or its related field.

•           Minimum Cisco CCNP certification

•           In-depth knowledge of network routing and switching technologies and protocols

•           Knowledge of network security, load balancing and optimization technologies 

•           Experience working with Cisco network, Bluecoat Proxy, F5 Load Balancer, PaloAlto/Checkpoint/Fortinet firewall and Splunk is preferred.

Platform Operations

●      Operate and support CDP Private Cloud environments across Dev/Test/Prod.

●      Perform BAU activities: monitoring, patching, upgrades, configuration tuning.

●      Administer Cloudera Manager, alerts, health checks, and diagnostics.

●      Ensure platform stability, availability, and SLA compliance.

Hadoop Ecosystem Support

●      Support core services: HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kafka, NiFi, HBase.

●      Manage HDFS quotas, snapshots, replication, and lifecycle policies.

●      Support ingestion pipelines and troubleshoot platform-level issues.

Performance & Capacity

●      Monitor and tune Hive/Impala queries and Spark workloads.

●      Manage YARN queues and resource allocation.

●      Perform capacity planning for compute and storage growth.

High Availability & Resilience

●      Operate HDFS HA, Resource Manager HA, and Zookeeper.

●      Support service failover, balancing, and resilience testing.

Security & Governance

●      Administer Apache Ranger (RBAC, data masking).

●      Integrate with LDAP/Active Directory.

●      Enforce encryption (TLS, HDFS TDE) and audit logging.

●      Support governance tooling (Atlas, lineage, audits).

●      Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards (e.g. IM8, PDPA).

Monitoring, Automation & Incident Management

●      Configure Cloudera Manager alerts and monitoring thresholds.

●      Develop automation scripts (Shell, Python).

●      Support log analysis (ELK, Splunk).

●      Participate in 24x7 on-call, incident response, and RCA.

●      Maintain runbooks and operational documentation.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

●      Manage HDFS backup and replication (snapshots, DistCp).

●      Support metadata backup and recovery.

●      Participate in DR drills and recovery validation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education : Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering.
Experience : 2–5+ years experience administering Cloudera / Hadoop platforms.
