Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching and Learning

2. Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring

• Design and administer assignments, quizzes, tests, and examinations.

3. Student Support and Academic Development

• Provide academic guidance and consultation to students when necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Language, or Linguistics.
• A Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or teaching qualification will be an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in English is preferred.
• Experience teaching GCE O Level English will be an advantage.

Skills and Competencies

• Create clear, well-structured lesson plans and drills covering mechanics, electricity, waves, thermodynamics, and modern physics.
• Use experiments, demonstrations, and real-world applications to make Physics interactive and relevant.
• Track student progress, identify weak areas, and set personalized goals for improvement.
• Provide regular updates to parents and collaborate with the academic team on curriculum and teaching resources.

Requirements

• Strong academic background in Physics (Bachelor’s degree or above in Physics, Engineering, or related field).
• Prior teaching/tutoring experience in Physics at O-level/IGCSE/A-level (or equivalent).
• Clear and confident English communication skills; able to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
• Patient, energetic, and able to motivate mixed-ability learners.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching across multiple curricula (Singapore O-level, IGCSE, A-level, IB, etc.).

Schedule & Compensation

• 6–9 hours/week to start, weekdays.

• This is a FULL TIME position.
• Experience in intervention for children (5-12yr) with specific learning difficulties.
• Hold a Diploma or Degree in Special Education Alternatively
• Alternatively hold Degree in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Certificate in Autism
• Develop intervention and lesson plans
• Apply various behaviour management strategies and programs in teaching children with various learning difficulties/disorders (e.g., ASD, ADHD, GDD, etc.)
• Manage EIP group classes and individual classes
• Together with the Multi-Disciplinary Team of Speech and Occupational therapist, set IEP Goals for student, monitor progress and report on progress.
• Communicate with parents when required
• Work in a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including speech therapists, occupational therapists and psychologists
• Prefer 2 years of experience, working in an Early Intervention Center or Autism Center.
• Candidates with teaching and classroom management experience will be an advantage
