You will be responsible to provide an excellent and consistent level of service to your customers. Designated as Assistant Engineering Manager, the Assistant Engineer is responsible to assist in the smooth and efficient running of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating departments.

• Possess an Engineering Diploma/Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Facility Management or equivalent.
• Competence in financial planning and contract management.
• Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
• Possess good creative-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven individual capable of effective people management, quality control and projects delivery on-time within budget in a fast-paced environment.
• Pro-active, independent and able to work with minimum supervision.
• General knowledge of all facility and building systems including HVAC, power distribution, fire protection system, plumbing and building maintenance.
• Able to perform duty on weekends and public holidays.
• Prior experience in the hotel industry will be an advantage.

The Job:

• Lead and develop a team of maintenance and call back technicians, train, assess, optimise the resources
• Perform the yellow belt technical assessment for the technicians and guide green and red belters to be prepared for their assessment
• Coordinate subcontractor works and audit their work quality standards
• Carry out feasibility study, health checks and standardization project
• Provide technical support for internal staff from Service, Project, Sales and Sales Engineering Department

Job Scope

• Operate semiconductor tools for wafer processing, measurement, and inspection
• Monitor tool/process status and perform basic fault recovery
• Execute process flows and coordinate tool usage; collect operational data
• Handle and transport wafer lots within cleanroom environments
• Support improvements, chemical handling (supervised), and strict EHS compliance

Requirements

• Minimum NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in a relevant engineering field
• Experience in semiconductor equipment operation and basic troubleshooting is an advantage
• Exposure to assembly, build, testing, or preventive maintenance is a plus
• Able to work independently and in a team

• Build and troubleshoot automated assembly machines, robotic systems, and sub-assemblies from engineering drawings.
• Debug machines, robots, and processes for newly built machines.
• Perform machine and robot alignments, calibration, and final set-ups.
• Assist Engineers in carrying out new machine, robotic system, or equipment start-up.
• Assist Engineers in continuous yield improvement programs through machine mechanization, robotic automation, and process optimization.
• Experience in machine and/or robotic equipment assembly
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
