This position will have responsibility for providing process support and installation of new plasma etch / clean / deposition systems at customer sites. This includes design, evaluation and documentation of process window for new installations or Lam recommended field hardware modifications / upgrades.

1. Work closely with Account team and customers to understand customer technology roadmaps, process flow, inflection points, requirements and business issues / challenges. Identify areas where Lam is able to value-add.
2. Work with Account team and customers to execute to penetration and defense strategy, including co-ordinating with Global Product Group on product demonstration
3. Perform startup of “capacity add” Lam systems i.e. match results to existing systems and applications
4. Design and complete simple DOE evaluations to characterize process window for new installations or Lam recommended field hardware modifications / upgrades
5. Conduct experiments and tests, collect and analyze data and generate reports for both internal and external distribution
6. Develop new processes to new and/or existing customer applications
7. Professionally represent the company to the customer. Utilize knowledge of company’s product lines and service to keep existing / potential customers informed when new/additional needs are identified
8. Develop good customer relations during start-up and trouble-shooting
9. Maintain company’s assigned equipment (computer, tool kit, diagnostic test equipment, spare parts etc) in good working condition, secure and accounted for
10. Ensure safe working condition at work site
11. Any other duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of marine propulsion and waterjet systems onboard vessels.
• Support installation, sea trials and system integration activities at shipyards and customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and control system issues during commissioning and post-delivery support.
• Liaise with shipyards, owners, captains and technical teams to ensure smooth execution of projects and timely resolution of technical matters.
• Prepare commissioning reports, service documentation and technical findings.
• Provide technical guidance and operational support to customers regarding propulsion system performance and maintenance.
• Participate in maintenance, repair and retrofit projects when required.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures and customer requirements during all onsite activities.
• Travel regionally and overseas for vessel attendance, commissioning and technical support assignments.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Experience in commissioning, servicing or troubleshooting marine propulsion systems, engines, waterjets, thrusters or related marine equipment.
• Hands-on technical capability with strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems, control systems and marine electrical systems is advantageous.
• Comfortable working onboard vessels, at shipyards and in operational marine environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently under pressure.

Resident Engineer C&S

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Resident Engineer in supervising and coordinating daily construction activities to ensure project progress and quality.
• Inspect and supervise contractors’ works and tests against approved drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.
• Enforce adherence to specifications, national regulations, local authorities’ requirements, Singapore standards, and industry best practices.
• Attend site meetings to identify and resolve technical issues collaboratively with contractors and stakeholders.
• Review contractors’ submissions, provide detailed comments, and ensure timely closure of all outstanding issues.
• Oversee inspection and special testing processes, coordinating efforts across all contracts to maintain quality control.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. The work model for the role is: Onsite

• Leading the ICSS engineering scope across all project phases – FEED, basic engineering, detailed engineering including hardware and software, FAT, pre-commissioning, commissioning and SAT at yards and offshore sites.

• Acting as subject matter expert for all automation systems including – DCS, ESD, F&G and co-ordinate with teams both in-house and at the execution center in the region.

• Interfacing with vendors, EPC contractors, client, and internal stakeholders to ensure system integration and functional compliance in line with project requirements.

• Collaborating with the Project Manager to ensure on-time delivery, adherence to project schedule and budget, and fulfilment of contractual obligations

Qualifications for the role

• Around 10 years of hands on experience handling automation projects within the oil & gas, power industries or offshore

• Experience in handling large size ICSS systems with 25,000+ I/O points or more.

• Proven experience with any of the major ICSS platforms including architecture design, configuration, and integration for offshore projects.

• Experience with ABB 800xA system will be an added advantage.
