We have an exciting opportunity (new projects) for experienced Associate Director – Mechanical to join our Building Services team in Singapore and become part of a network of over 400 Building Services Engineers across the Asia Pacific. Asan Associate Director, you will play a key leadership role in driving project delivery, strengthening client relationships, provide technical leadership and growing our Building Services capability. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee technical and commercial performance, and contribute to the continued success and growth of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultant ready to step into a broader role that combines technical excellence, project leadership and client engagement. This position will be based in our Singapore Office and reporting to Studio Manager.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to:

• Drive MEP project delivery excellence (Mechanical lead) across multiple complex projects, ensuring high-quality, coordinated and compliant design outcomes
• Lead and influence multidisciplinary project teams, providing technical leadership, design assurance, and governance across deliverables
• Translate engineering principles into practical, efficient and commercially viable solutions, balancing technical performance with cost and programme considerations
• Act as atrusted client adviser, developing and maintaining strong relationships through a clear understanding of business drivers and project objectives
• Represent the business externally, engaging confidently with clients, consultants,contractors and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes and secure repeat work
• Take accountability for project risk and performance, applying sound technical, commercial and financial judgement to achieve delivery targets
• Understand and manage the impact of engineering decisions on cost, programme and project profitability
• Demonstrate strong consulting, communication and networking capability, contributing positively to team culture and broader business growth

Key Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore, will be an advantage)
• Professional Engineer (PE) accreditation in Singapore is advantageous
• Minimum 10years’ experience within an engineering consultancy environment, with increasing responsibility in design and project delivery
• Strong track record in HVAC and building services (MEP) coordination, across sectors such as healthcare, commercial, hospitality, industrial and education
• Demonstrated technical depth and practical application of mechanical engineering principles in complex project environments

• A client-focused and delivery-driven mindset, with the ability to influence outcomes and build trusted relationships
• Ability to operate with autonomy and initiative, while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Strong organisational, coordination and delegation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Monitor systems performance and usage, including response times

• Supervise backups, optimization, initiation of recovery procedures and routine troubleshooting

• Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure systems integrity and security

• Determine the systems’ short- and long-term requirements

• Manage systems report production

• Advise senior leaders on system concepts and functional capabilities

• Provide technical advice to the team and clients on installation, setup, configuration of systems

• Interpret internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices

• Implement plans to make systems available to users in a shared, secure and controlled manner

• Lead the development of new systems as per the system requirements

• Design security and integrity controls

• Conduct new systems testing and implementation

• Define the system maintenance procedures

• Analyze the use of new systems to identify enhancement needs

• Lead research initiatives for the development of advanced and automated approaches for system administration

• Seek opportunities to optimize the delivery of systems services with emphasis on availability, reliability, scalability, and security

• Conduct regular system audits and upgrades

• Develop automated processes to define, measure, and report on service quality, stability and capacity

• Oversee the assessment of risks to systems 

• Identify complex system issues to provide advisory to the stakeholders

• Investigate cause of systems issues

• Resolve complex issues

• Provide escalation support for issues presented by the user  

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent with At least 3-4 years of experience in administering and managing Microsoft Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy Management.

• Certification in MCSA/MCSE preferred.

• Strong communications skills with stakeholders at all levels.

• Experience in healthcare applications preferred.

• Need to be comfortable to do night activities – patches, upgrades, tech refresh and maintenance as well as 24/7 standby (rotational)
