We are looking for a motivated Research Assistant/Associate to join our collaborative research environment and support ongoing projects investigating autophagy and mitophagy in disease. The role involves performing experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to the development of new experimental approaches and model systems as the lab continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and develop cellular models, including mammalian cell culture and advanced systems such as stem cell–derived models and organoids

• Monitor and accompany children during break times, canteen periods, rest or nap times, and during arrival and departure on school transport

• Assist children with changing clothes when required

• Carry out other related duties as reasonably assigned by the EIS Coordinator or the School Management

• Assist with EIS Open House visits, and parent tours if required.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

• Experience working with young children aged 2 to 5 years

• A diploma or qualification in early childhood education would be a plus

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a classroom environment

• Professional discretion and sound judgement when working with children and families

• Capacity for initiative and a degree of autonomy within the framework defined by the teaching team

• A dynamic, positive, and engaged approach to daily work with young children

• Knowledge of, and compliance with, food hygiene and safety regulations

• Language requirements

• English is the primary language of communication in the EIS. Candidates should be comfortable working in an English-speaking environment

• While a high level of fluency is not required, some functional ability in English and a willingness to develop confidence using English in daily classroom interactions are important

Job Description

The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT), National University of Singapore is looking for researchers and engineers to develop next generation quantum computers based on trapped ions. There are multiple positions available at different levels with a diverse set of expertise. This program is funded under the National Quantum Processor Initiative, a flagship program under the National Quantum Office Singapore. The aim of the program is to develop a full stack quantum processor system based on Yb-Ba ions emphasizing on the performance rather than on the qubit numbers. This program brings together the unique capabilities of the existing ion trap groups in CQT expertizing on these two-ion species to explore scalability of the system.

The Centre for Quantum Technologies is a pioneering quantum centre in the world offering a diverse research culture at the intersection of the cross-section of three different fields namely, theoretical, experimental Physics and computer science. We are looking for talented electrical/electronic engineers to join the team of scientists and engineers working on the next generation of the quantum processor.

The team members will work to build electronics to control the ion trap quantum processor. That includes digital design, RF and microwave sources and low noise analog / digital front end. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in at least one of the following fields and desire to cross the boundaries and learn relevant skills. The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of the development cycle: collaborate with other team members to define the technical requirements, design, manufacturing, testing and integration of the prototype into the control system.

Job Requirements

We are looking for several electrical engineers to join the small team of scientists and engineers working on the next generation of the ion trap quantum processor. The candidate should have:

• Bachelor or Master degree in electronics, electrical engineering or related fields;
• At least 1-2 years of experience in electronics design is preferred;
• Experience in programmable digital logic design using Verilog or VHDL, digital signal processing, and familiarity with control theory;
• Design and characterisation of low noise electronics for the analog front end, good understanding of the noise sources in electronic circuits;
• Design and implementation of the RF electronics circuits.
